Its probably a fuse, there are 2 fuse boxes. one is under the hood on the drivers side towards the rear, and the other if inside, once you open the drivers door on the left side of the dash, (only visible with drivers door open) I have seen a horn go back and blow the fuse, so make sure to check amp flow before replacing the fuse.

Not many....and most aren't worth the trouble. The problem is the 2.8 intake plenum port size and design and the heads. They just aren't designed to flow much more than they already do. You can do the usual.....good free flowing exhaust, air filter, computer chip, and maybe an aftermarket cam. But to be honest, if you did all of it you'd be lucky to pick up 50HP. And I'd say that's the upper end. Don't get me wrong...I have a '92 3.1 Sunbird. I love the engine but it's just not the best design for improvements. You might try swapping out a newer 3.4 Camaro V6. You'll pick up some power there. If it's anything like swapping a 3.4 in mine there will be some mods you'll need to make. Primarily EGR adapter, fuel injectors, programming.

that can be because of the fuel pump relay,a severed wire to the fuel pump or the fuel pump fuse is blown.
Remote key fob does not unlock your doors on a 97 Volvo 850?
there is some trick like turning key on and off (just to power, not engine on) three times and than pushing the unlock button on the fob, that should reprogram it. also, i have to press and hold mine for 1 second, then the door unlocks when i release - NOT while its pushed down.
Some additional info:
* Programming the 1997 Volvo 850 remote is explained in detail in the 850 user manual.
* Basically turn the key from position I (off) to position II (on) [not start position III]
5 times in 30 seconds. Then push a button on the remote. This should allow the
car to recognize the remote.
* On my remote I needed to clean the contacts to get BOTH lock and unlock to work.
My remote would lock but not unlock. Take remote apart and clean contacts.

At first it's a hell of job ;you can do two things ,you can pull the engine out,it's a lot of a job or you can pull the tranmission out more easy,in my case i put the transmission out,by removing the exhaust system,then i pull the tranny out,then i loosen the driver side engine support so you can lift the engine with a jack or special equipment in some case you have to take the valve cover to have more place ,i recommended that you also change the front and rear seal,because you have the tranny out,i hope i give you enough information.
