While I haven't checked this particular combination out myself, it should swap right over. They are both OBD II and should run the same sensors to operate. If you had to do anything at all it might be to switch over some sensors.

Yes, they are the "bucket" type. About 1" tall and about the size of a half-dollar. They are not cheap. You may find a set of new ones on eBay at a lower price.

ok, u have to remove the door panel first, there is one screw at the bottom middle and then u have to take off the piece where the buttons to move the window up and down, jus pry it with a screw driver, put like rubber latex glvoe over the screw driver s0o that you dont scratch anything, then you remove the other screw and then u pry off the whole inside door panel it clipped down s0o u move the whole thing upwards to unclip a couple of clips, then there will be a circular hole and u will be able to see the motor, there ware 3 bols loosen them up with a ratchet, and unplug the wires that its connected to, and pull the motor out through the circular hole, the motor is controlled with metal wires that is connected to a plastic piece at the bottom of the glass part of the window, s0o becareful not to pull and break it.

This 2.4L dont have rocker arms and push rods.

Remove the air intake box and look beneath the master cylinder and you will see the shift cable. unbolt it from the transmission using the appropriate socket and undo the shift cable. on the inside, remove the center console and undo the cable inside as well

Common problem.. The "Idle Air Control" valve (IAC) is the usual culprit. It is located on the throttle body.

I have similar problem with my 1990 318i and found that the aux fan not working (if you connect power directly - it works) because the thermal switch circuitry is faulty. I have then bipassed the thermal siwitches and made it so that the fan should run when ac is on. It worked for some time but then the fan being faulty itself is drawing too much current and blowing the fuse.

Lift the hood. Start in one corner at the top and gently but steadily pull and then work your way across. If is not unlikely that it will pop off into your hands so be prepared. Really simple and fast.

No. the 99 has 2 headlights on each side and the 2000 has 1 on each side. A different wire harness. And the 2000 light housings are a wee-bit larger.

What if you want to fix it yourself. Dealers charge too much. I did it once, but forgot the sequence. You turn the key to almost start a certain amount of times, and then hold it in that position for like 10 minutes. I forgot how many times you have to turn it is the problem. It would be nice if someone coudld share an actual answer, instead of saying take it to a dealer!!!

Your shifter cable needs adjusting.Disconnect it at the top of the transmission and from the bracket that holds it. Pull it up so you can see it and how it is made.Right there is where you adjust it.It will get shorter or longer,whichever you need.You can hear it click and see it move when it slides.

I just removed the headrests from my 95 Cavalier. No one really had a good way to do it other then cutting or totally remove the clips from the seat up. It's quite easy if you have the right tools. Take a old windshield wiper blade and remove the metal stainless steel strips. Cut them into 3 inch pcs. Bend it into the shape of an "L" (1"x2" roughly). Trim the long end into a point. Make two of them. Climb into the back seat behind the seat you what to remove the head rest from. Lift the headrest all the way up, Insert the long end of the "L", down the back side of the headrest shaft 3/4 of the way down. The short leg of the "L" should be pointing at you. Using both hands, and force the short part of the "L" to the right of both shafts. What your trying to do is to slide the flat part of the "L" between the shaft and the retaining clip. It only catches on the right side of both shafts. The short part of the "L" may end up pointing at the right frt headlight before it releases the clip. You'll know that you got it when you're able to lift the headrest straight up and out. The clip stays in place and life is good. Good luck

You wil need a star screwdriver, Philips head screwdriver and a wrench or ratchet.

First pop off the side pannels, the only over your fuse box and the passanger side same location. After that open your glove box. There are star screwdriver screws on the side pannles and on the upper rim of the glove box. After you are done with that use the wrench of ratchet, there are two bronze bolts in the little cutout in the glove box attached to a metal bar, take those two bolts out. Now unscrew the screws on the vent grate ontop of the dash and remove that. Now your done.

It depends on what you mean by "repaired." If you mean take the window motor apart and repair it, the answer is probably yes, but why? The effort and expense would far outweigh, just replacing the unit. If you just mean can a power window be fixed? Then the answer is yes. You need to find out what went bad, the motor, cable, or track assembly, and replace it.

Chevrolet does not use inertia/reset switches.

your lifter could be lose and need tighting i had a 91 z24 and that was a common prolem for me once every 6 months i had to do that

To the best of my knowledge, cav's z's didn't have airbags till 95 with the design change. Hope this helps. Least I never saw one, and I have had an 86, 92, and currently a 94. Work on tons and never seen one. It should have at least a driver air bag. Check the car manual or see if there is a "AIRBAG" writen on the center of the steering wheel. For passenger air bag there could be the same sign or the panel in front of passenger have a cutout or outlined section. The air bag would come out from there. Best way to actually find out if your car has air bags is to ask anyone with automotive knowledge to look at your car.

You'll need to unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate. That's the only link between the two. Make sure to support the transmission before unbolting it from the engine.
