How do you replace a fuel pump in 1992 Chevy conversion van?
the fuel pump is in the gas tank so you have to lift the van up in the rear and drop the tank to get to it. i just did this a few days ago with my brother helping. I have to say it isn't something i would suggest doing if you have little experience with mechanics because of the fact that you wil be dealing with gas vapors, electrical, and a pretty heavy tank that you have to muscle around abit, but it can be done. if you want to attempt it then repost a reply and i will explain in more detail how we did it.
How do you install a brake light switch 2001 VW Jetta?
CALL VW! I just had a problem with my 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg (1.8T). The brake light switch is on RECALL. You might be able to get it fixed for NOTHING. My brake lights weren't working, and I called the dealership, and I had the problem fixed (no cost to me) within a week. FYI- there is also a recall on the hazard light switch. If it's the same switch as used in the MKIV Jetta, this VWVortx thread is the definitive do-it-yourself instruction on how to do it... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1158315
How do you take off the cover on a 94 Chevy G20 van?
Assuming of course you're talking about the engine cover, based on the '85 model year, which I assume would be the same thing, as it's pretty much the same van:
1. locate bolts in the top plastic cover. This is the plastic lump in the middle of the dash. There's usually a tray with cup holders on it, and a glove-box below the tray. There is a flip thing (for the ashtray) in the cover. There are two bolts hiding in the top corners of the area under the flip thing. There are two more bolts right down at the base of it, which can be hard to get at with a wrench. The last owner of my van replaced the hex-head bolts with bolts with heads more like screws (phillips) so they're easier to take out. Take out the bolts, and lift the cover up far enough that you can unplug the cigarette lighter. Mine doesn't work, and I don't use it, so I don't bother plugging it back in after. Now lift off the cover all the way, and set it aside.
2. Now you're looking at a metal lump, maybe with carpet on it. This lump is the engine cover itself, sometimes referred to as the doghouse. There are two bolts down at the base. They are about at the 4:30 and 7:30 positions (with 12 o'clock pointing to the front center of the van). You may need to pull some carpet up to find them. Take them out. Now, there are two clamps at the front top of the lump. Lift the rear sections of the clamps. They may require a bit of force.
3. Now the tough part. You need to lift the cover back and up, avoiding the dash and the seats. If you didn't know it came out of that hole, you'd never think it could possibly go back in.
4. Having been successful, you should now be looking at your engine.
Getting it back on is usually worse than taking it off. You may need to find some soapy water and bring it out with you for your mouth. My advice is to only take it off if you really have to.

Where is the safety switch on a 1995 ford van?
I'll assume you mean the neutral safety switch, and I'll assume it's an automatic (manual is on the bracket for the clutch pedal). It's located internal to the TR sensor (transmission range sensor). that's on the left side (if you're in the driver's seat facing forward) on the transmission. there sill be a cable attached to a lever, which is attached to the switch.

if you put in a new fuel pump and the fuse still blows check the fuel relay under the hood on the firewall,,its oval in shape,,,, disconect the relay and turn the engine over if the fuse doesnt blow then the relay is bad,,if it does then you have a short in the wire harness its easy to follow from the fuel pump to the relay good luck
Go to your local parts supplier and get an exploded picture of the steering column. Most will have this as a free service. The steering wheel has to come off, as well as some pieces to get to the bolts that hold it together. Tighten the bolts and it should be fine. This is a common problem and will probably take you about 1 - 1.5 hours to do depending on options vehicle has.
