You can't. If is making a ticking noise you need new lifters. Cheap fix is to put in oil treatment for lifters and hope for the best.

I had this same problem and It was my fuel filter. Engine surges because there is not enough fuel. Check it.

is the wire hooked up to the horn outside ? next is the wire hooked up to the press pad on the steering wheel the place that you touch to blow the horn? is the fuse good if all these things are good then it,s time to pull the steering wheel and that is a real chore under there ( beware ) you can cost your self a lot of trouble under the steering wheel . and just getting it off can be a hassle for a lot of folk,s if you have to pull the wheel get a book and go from there .trust me it,s a chore in it,s self like a rok 45 freak over N out

behind the battery there are 4 relays it is on the end of the holder it is silver in colour i just replaced one my self

I had a 89 Chevy 1500 4x4 with the 700R4. I replaced it with a turbo 350 from a 1979 4x4, and it actually picked up 3 more MPG. It made more power without the lock-up converter, and 4th gear. Every weekend I would pull a stockcar to the racetracks, and the transmission temp ran 20 degrees cooler with the turbo 350, vs the 700R4.

HI.. There is 3 bolts on top of the steering box.. If you wire brush the top of the box. You will see which bolt to take out to lube the box....If your sitting in the driver seat it should be the bolt on the far left ..Remove it and Lube the box..

You may want to check to see if the bolts are intact as well as the bowl itself.

I have the G20 Chevy 6 cylinder Sportvan standard roof, not a high top. I've had it for over 11 years. I have always upgraded to the larger truck tire for stability. I bought it with 42,000 miles on it. Back then I got just under 18 mpg on the highway, and close to 15 mpg around town. Lately I'd say it seems to get about 1 mile less per gallon on the highway, and closer to 13 in continuous stop and go around town. I live in a slightly hilly area of Florida.

I have a 1992 Chevy g20 conversion van same thing happen too me maybe ur plug melted if you look under the steering wheel Attached too the steering wheel there is going to be a white box with a stick attached and a black plug you gonna have too see it that plug is plugged in or melted that metal rod that is attached goes up to the steering wheel that swithes low beam to height beam if that's not ur problem it could be in the pull swithch attachment where you turn them on and off good luck

You drop the fuel tank! The fuel lines go to a round thing in the middle. You have to rotate the round thing and then it will lift out of the tank. The fuel pump and fuel level indicator will be right there in front of your face. I did this once i hope you dont have a lot of fuel in the tank as it could be quite heavy!

Drain the oil from your 1993 Chevy oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the oil pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new oil pump.

gage is easy just take the srews out holding the panel around the gages on then the screws holding the plastic cover over the gages and the screws holding the gas gage and pulls right out check the color or code on the back to get the same one. Sending unit is in the tank drop the tank and 2 or so bolts and pulls right out. Round thing on the top with lines and wires is the sending unit
