Where is the drain plug for the radiator on a 2003 Chevy Impala?

probably same as 2000 impalaIf it is the same as the 2000( should be) it is on the lower right "backside" of the radiator. You can't get to this or the lower hose without removing the plastic ground scraper shroud under the radiator. This has 5 bolts holding this on. Then reach around the back of the radiator and you will feel a wingnut. You can loosen the drain knob with pliers, but a small crescent wrench on bolt attached to wingnut will prevent any stripping. The knob will only need a turn or less to loosen,,,,then you can use your fingers to adjust flow. I'm writing this while doing it myself. I also gave it a lil flush with some clean water while valve was open. (while nut is on the back of radiator,,,water drains through the rubber gasket under the radiator.)

Good information above- change in drain location between 2000 and 2003.

Just changed coolant in my 2003 Impala. Drain is on drivers side. Has hex. - open with a 19MM socket. Flush by temporarily inserting garden hose tee between heater hose and engine connection using piece of heater hose. After flush and drain (including coolant recovery bottle) run engine short time to drain water from engine. Add 6 quarts full strength coolant to radiator and top with water to insure 50/50 mix.

How do you turn off oil change light on Chevy impala 2001?

change your oil I had this problem a month ago and brought it to a shop for an oil change. While the oil change actually worked at reseting the "Change oil" indicator, the mechanic said something to the effect of pumping the brake (or maybe he said the accelerator) 5 times quickly will reset the light to off. I'm assuming this is with the car running and in park. He also said to turn off a low tire pressure indicator, you can toggle the headlights on/off several times quickly and that'll reset the tire pressure light. I'm not completely confident about these tidbits, but it's worth a try.

How do you remove a 2008 Chevy impala wiper arm?

Assuming that you mean "wiper blade" (blade and frame) which are replaced often rather than "wiper arm" (piece from the spindle at the hood to the wiper blade) which are rarely ever replaced, the 2008 Chevrolet Impala has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See sources and related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

What is the cargo capacity of the 2005 Chevrolet Impala with all seats in place?

If a 2001 Chevrolet Impala check engine light is on and the diagnostic test gives a code of P0102 what could be wrong?

I just had the same problem today! We totally rebuilt the motor and when we hooked it all back up, that was the only code it populated. It was the mass air flow sensor. We never thought that would be it because it was fine before when we were working on the motor but after we couldn't figure anything else out...we plugged another one in just to see what it would say before we took it into the shop and it worked the code cleared! The part usually cost anywhere from 122-200.00 though :( e happened to have an old one from an old blazer laying around so we got lucky!

Your battery died in your 2005 impala and now your radio does not work why?

One - the radio runs off the battery.

Two - if the battery has been replaced, during the time it wad out of the car all its memory was lost. You may have to reset it from scratch.

Three - it's a coincidence.

Would 3 car seats fit in the backseat of a Chevy Impala?

YES, three will fit. If they are true carseats and not boosters it will work great. If any of them are boosters, it will be a tight fit to get them buckled each time as there is very little room to get a hand into the buckle area. In case anyone is wondering, you can also fit 3 carseats or boosters comfortably in the middle row of an 8 passenger Yukon, Yukon XL, Tahoe and Suburban as well as the backseat of a Chevy silverado or z71 (and the GMC equivalant) Crewcab. I have also fit 3 in the backseat of a Caddy Sedan Deville-fits the same as an Impala, a 1994 and 1998 Poniac GranPrix and 1999 Ford Explorer had to really squeeze them in, but they fit.

I hope that helps!

Your 96 impala ss keep blowing 25a air fuse?

Fuses That "Blow" Repeatedly

Without being able to "hands on" troubleshoot the circuit served by the repeatedly blowing fuse, no one can identify the specific cause/defect which is causing your problem.

The following generic answer applies to any electrical circuit, whether in a vehicle or in a building, or whether alternating current [AC] or direct current [DC].

Fuses [and Circuit Breakers] are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] and other components from short circuit conditions and/or overload conditions which can cause extreme flow of electrical current [measured in Amperes], and overheating of the conductors that can result in damage to the insulation and the conductors. And in a worst case, the probability of a FIREwhich could destroy the vehicle, house, or other structure in which the circuit is located.

When a fuse [and replacement fuses, or "tripping" Circuit Breakers] "blow," especially if it happens repeatedly, is an indication of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short.

The fuse or circuit breaker is doing what it was designed, intended, and installed to do, protect the components of the circuit which it serves.

The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he or she is doing, to troubleshoot the involved circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse or before resetting a circuit breaker].

Some ignorant few will suggest installing a larger fuse or breaker to solve the problem, BUT that will only increase the hazard, not correct it. Do not follow "bad" advice and install a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install an over-sized fuse would almost guarantee damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire.

How do you fix a 1997 Jeep drivers side power window that won't go up but the motor is making sounds like it should?

Remove the door panel and inspect the tracks, and the gear. If the glass came off of track the gear might have stripped.

AnswerI just fixed my 98 grand Cherokee with drivers side window movement problems. there was dirt in the window actuator track and pivots. the grease was all dry. i lubed it up with LPS (a kind of spray lube. white lithium should be good for this too). with the vehicle running ( so i got good power, & didnt drain battery,) i ran the window up and down ( a lot) adding more lube every now and then. it is good now. hope this helps.

I have the same problem with my 1999 Cherokee and after removing the door panel found that the plastic bracket on the window regulator is broken off. I purchased a repair kit from Steiger performance. The kit is for Cherokee not grand Cherokee. The link is http://www.steigerperformance.com/

Is there a fuse for the turn signal flasher unit on a 2001 Chevy Impala or do you have to replace the entire part ACDelco 150?

The flasher for the turn signal and hazzard lights is internal to the hazzard light push button. A very bad design choice, because the entire dash bezel needs removed to remove the switch. But that is only 6 screws and a couple of clips.

Before buying the dealer only part. Take the switch out and give it a tap on a solid surface. That fixed mine. 10 minutes of work and it was fixed.

I have been without my right turn signal unless I flop it with my hand... I have surfed the net and noticed a ton of similar problems requiring the entire multi swith turn signal. I am thinking we should all try for a recall of some sort. My car should not have this problem. It is a 2000 Chevy impala and in great shape with 94,000 miles.

Can a 2012 Chevy Impala be towed behind a RV?

No, not flat towed with the wheels on the highway.

The windshield wipers on my 2002 Chevy Impala get stuck in the upright position when I turn the wipers off. How do I get it fixed?

Buy a new car. I have had the crank arm replaced(which is suppose to solve the problem) and I'm back at square one with the wipers not working at all now. AND THE DEALERSHIP DID THE REPAIRS!!! I'll get back to everyone if the dealership doesn't make this right.
