Get a new one at a salvage yard.

To flat tow a 2005 Malibu classic, one needs to remove the two IPC fuses. These fuses are located in the driver's side dash fuse box. After pulling these fuses, attach the vehicle to the towing vehicle.

stick a paper clip or something similar through the gap of space around the mileage reset pin. if you bend the paper clip properly, you should be able to knock the needle back over so that it rests on top of the little bar.

i have checked the voltage to the cmp, and i have changed the cmp! the code will not clear, and i have a hard start. just installed new engine!

It is located within the water outlet at the bottom of the top radiator hose. I hope this helps you. Mark

You can also put a 3.4 engine in the Malibu. 3400swap.com for more info. Lindersinc.com to get the engine. I have a 3400 in mine out of a 2004 Impala and it runs well and accelarates smoothly.

There are several sending units (AKA Sensors) in that vehicle. Which one did you have in mind?

i would say that your talking about the detent cable , which if it is the one that runs up to the carb or tbi injectors , just mash the top part down and pull until it tightens up , if your talking about the one on the linkage of the transmission , same way hold pressure while in park and tighten

The right side (passenger side) would be the transmission cooler lines. The plastic radiator tank is probably cracked near or at that fitting. Replacing the 12 year old radiator would be best.

On my 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis, you must have all the transmitters intended for use on your vehicle. Prior programing is erased and ALL must be done at the same time.

1) Enter the factory keyless entry code.,

2) Press the 1/2 button on the keyless entry pad.

3) Press one button on each of the transmitters to be programmed. Each transmitter button must be pressed within seven seconds of the prior one. Each time a transmitter is successfully programmed, all of the vehicle doors will lock and then unlock to verify programming. If they did not lock/unlock, your transmitter was not programmed.

If it is electrical, you will need to take off the inside panel of the door. most door panels will pop in and out.

random/multiple cylinder misfire!

Open the hood and pull up on the two black tabs on either side of the lamp assembly. Pull the lamp assembly forward gently and unclip the wiring harness. Twist the socket counter-clockwise and remove it. The bulb should be removed by wiggling it. Install new bulb in its place and turn the socket back into place. Reconnect the wiring harness and return the lamp to its original position. Line up the holes in the lamp assembly to the round ends of the mounting pins, and press down on the two black tabs to hook the lamp assembly into place.

It has no Timing Belt, it has a Timing Chain.

if its a low knocking noise it is normal on the 3.1 engine!! if it is loud check to make sure the valves are getting oil!! I have a 2000 Malibu v6 and it is the same way.
