How do you get a citroen radio out?

must mix it with beechnut and see if it will work

Er .. OK ?? (!)

Pop the heater fan knob off , and underneath is a Philips screw. Remove this. Then gently pry the whole part of the facia off, removing the connectors for fan control, radio heater rear window, hazards and A/C if fitted.

You can pry the facia off with your thumb nails if they're strong, and you have a good pain threshold, but I prefer a screwdriver wrapped with cardboard to prevent damaging the rest of the dash.

The radio then comes out with the facia itself, it's fairly easy to remove it from there ... You can get adaptor plates to take a standard din unit from autoleads or fleabay.

Best of luck!

IMPORTANT! You MUST allow the car's electronics (BSI) to power-down fully before disconnecting or re-connecting a stereo, or any other electronic module on a modern Citroen. Failure to do so may lead to lighting, central locking or ignition faults. The safest method is to follow the full power-down and disconnect procedure - (courtesy of BBA Reman) :-

Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.

Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.

Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds.

...Now do your electrical work...

Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.).

Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.

Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.

Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.

Remove key open & close door test central locking system.

Start the engine and complete the system's check.

...not forgetting to reset the clock etc.

Don't learn the hard way...it's at best inconvenient, and at worst very expensive!!

How many people were killed in the Vietnam War?

The U.S. military has estimated that between 200,000 and 250,000 South Vietnamese soldiers died in the war.

Over 58,000 American military died during the Vietnam war as well.

U.S. 58,000 troops were killed

the North vietnamese army 1.1 million deaths

1,170,000 people were injured

Also, estimates for civilian deaths range from .5 to 2 million. There is difficulty in nailing down this number, because of several factors:

  1. distinguishing between VC and Civilians was often difficult
  2. poor census numbers, leading to inability to accurately count deaths
  3. reluctance on the part of all parties to accurately count civilian deaths (propensity to over-inflate or under-count, depending on the entity)
  4. debate over including executed civilians not specifically related to combat (significant number of both North and South Vietnamese were killed by government forces of both sides in politically-motivated actions not remotely related to actual combat).

Note, most death counts cover 1959 - 1975.

Also, all of the numbers above EXCLUDE any deaths in Laos and Cambodia. A ballpark number for the entire regional death toll is 5+ million.

How do you change a citroen c3 drivers side headlamp bulb?

Headlight Dipped beam Bulb H7

Headlight Main beam Bulb H1

Requires lots of patience and time as vision and access is restricted. Open the cover of the headlight by undoing the clips. Detach the connector (wires) of the bulb. Then put your fingers inside to feel for the spring/clip which holds the bulb. You need to press the clip to release and then the bulb will come out. Good light and a small mirror will help to locate the clip. Replace the bulb, push back the clip to hold the bulb and push back the connector with the wires. Close and seal the unit properly otherwise you may get condensation and water inside the headlamps. This is for Headlight dipped beam bulb

For the Main beam bulb , once you disconnect the connector (wire) of the bulb press and disengage the bars/clip to release the bulb. Replace the bulb and press to engage the bars/clip to hold the bulb and then continue as above.

What are the dashboard switches citroen c3?

There are over a dozen switches on the dashboard so you need to specify which switch. On the display screen there are two button to set time, date, language. Below that is the hazard light and just below this is central locking control. On the side of the radio you have control buttons for Child safety lock, Anti intrusion alarms, ESP, Parking assistance.

On the instrument panel you have a button on the left to control dashboard illumination and on the right side is a similar button to reset maintenance and trip indicator.

On the right side of the steering below the vent is the control for wing mirrors, and next to this is a knob to adjust the headlights. On the left side of the steering is another control to adjust the steering column. You have a few more buttons around the display for the ventilation system for front and rear window demister, air conditioning, and fan with adjustment for direction of air flow. Cars with cruise controls may have additional buttons on the Steering wheel.

How do you change light bulb on citroen C3?

It can be tricky and difficult to change the Front Headlight bulbs as access and vision is restricted. Open the Headlight cover in the back. Disconnect the wire and then use your fingers to find the clip which holds the bulb. Use a mirror with good light to locate the end of the clips . Once you press and release the clips the bulb will come out. Once the bulb has been replaced, put the clip back as it holds the bulb and reconnect the wire and close the rear headlight cover. The side light lamps can be removed by twisting and pulling out as it does not have a clip.

The rear lights/brake lights can be accessed from the boot and can be replaced with ease. Access and vision is poor and you need to have lots of patience.

How do you change a citroen c3 passenger side headlight?

Take the front grille off, lower the front bumper, remove the inner wing liner - this will allow you access to the bolts securing the headlight - remove headlight, replace bulb then refitting is reverse of removal. What a task - but the obloy way to do it!

this isn't the only way to do it,

there is a metal clip round the back of the headlight, unclip this and remove the back cover to the light (you may need to take the casing off the battery compartment to get your hands in) but you are in.

its a fiddle, with much done on sense of touch, but im sure much easier that removing bumpers!

Answer 1 is correct for the original question - that is, "how to change the headlight" (more or less) but the wing liners need to be released first to gain access to the rearmost bumper retaining bolts. Taking off the grille is nerve-wracking as it needs a very firm pull upwards to overcome the clips on the inside edges of the headlamps, but there is no easy way to open the clips up to make it easier as they are tucked in behind the grille.

Answer 2 only addresses the issue of changing bulbs, not complete headlight units. Recommended accessory is a compact mirror so that you can get some view of the bulb-retainers! When refitting the cover, smear the seal with petroleum jelly and make absolutely sure that the cover is seated correctly before securing the clip. Any water allowed in due to bad sealing will steam up the headlight and eventually destroy the orange coating on the indicator bulb, so you will be back to square one.

How do you remove citroen 1.9d glow plugs?

Firstly remove the glow plug link cable that goes between the 4 glow plugs, these are secured with a 8mm nut,it pays to put a bit of grease in side the socket when you do this to stop the nut dropping (use this method when re fitting as well) after the link lead has been removed you will need a 12 mm deep socket to drop down over the plug ,then unscrew anti clock wise . You may need to loosen the injector pipes to allow an easier access to the plugs . number 4 cylinder is the hardest plug to access and can be done with a 12 mm spanner. Don't forget though number 4 cylinder is at the timing belt end on these engines.

Once the plugs are out its a reverse of the above to refit.

You can check the plugs though without taking them out, just remove the the link lead across the top of the plugs then get a piece of wire and hold one end on to the live terminal on the battery then touch it on to the threaded part of the plug ,if it sparks then the plug is ok
