Why is it your computer it will turn off immediately and you heard of beeps?
You might want to check the power supply and the CPU cooling system including the fan, radiator and thermo paste (the most possible). If the paste is dry or not flexible any more you have to change it (you can buy it in Radioshack network).
You possibly have a virus. Run Antivirus software to remove the virus.
You can try booting into Safe Mode and running a) a Spyware detection package such as Ad-Aware, followed by b) an anti-virus package such as Grisoft. (Both are available freely from the Web.) You may need a second machine to get these as it looks a bit like you may have one of those virii that stops you getting to AV sites. It may take a couple of goes to clean everything off, took me about a morning last week with a similar problem.
I think using ISA Server You can block specific files types to be download or might Windows GPO can help. Anyway good question
Installing a firewall on your network will stop most viruses from being planted on your network?
No, not necessarily, since viruses can be 'invited in' by unsuspecting users of web sites, email links, etc. A firewall definitely helps, but will not prevent, in all cases a virus running in a network.
Is it safe to Run Wpe Pro as Administrator?
I would say its not safe. WPE Pro is a professional (commercial) version of Winsock Packet Editor. It is used to analyze network traffic and extract sensitive information like passwords or any other data sent through network.
Call best buy- was the first answer.
At the end of the day you may have to do as above and buy a replacement machine - but that is the worst case.
I assume that it is the Windows LOGON prompt you are talking about not the hardware/BIOS boot-password which is a different problem.
You can't just 'bypass' it, even Windows is more secure than that. Here are some possible ways out of your problem.
1. There is some software you can get on the Internet (using another computer) which you can download to floppy or CD then use to boot your computer from the floppy disk or CD. This software will then allow you to set a new password for your Windows user. Windows security is fairly weak.
2. Remove the hard disk from your computer and attach it to another computer as an external disk. (A USB attached box for doing this is quite cheap). You can then access your disk and copy away all your data as a backup before doing the recovery described below. I believe software is available on the Internet which will let you reset the Windows password on the USB attached disk but I have never done this so can't give details.
3. Completely re-install Windows from your original media, or use the 'recovery' method supplied by your computer manufacturer. You will almost certainly loose all your installed software and data so you better have backups of everything. Expect to spend several days re-installing all your software and recovering data from backup.
4. Replace the hard-disk in your computer with a new one, you can take the opportunity to upgrade to a larger one at the same time. Fully re-install Windows and all your software. Attach the old disk via USB as discussed in 2 and recover all your data direct to your new disk. No special software is required to do this copying, Windows provides everything you need.
5. If all this seems too much hard work or is simply beyond your skill level, then either take your computer to a specialist and pay to have it done for you or do as suggested in the first answer and buy a new machine.
6. Once you get Windows up and running again a poorly documented feature exists in Windows (recent versions) which lets you create a 'password recovery' file on a device such as a USB memory stick. Use it then keep that device in a safe place - don't leave it around or someone else may use it to recover your password. (Go to the Microsoft website for more info. I don't have the knowledge base number handy to give you.)
It is an annoying piece of software installed by Dell, that I found was causing my browser to interrupt me with "We're sorry, couldn't find...." messages all the time. I recommend uninstalling it from Control Panel Add/Remove programs.

How do you find the persons carrier?
I take it you were involved in an accident and don't know the name of the insurance company who insured the at fault driver. You have to get this information from the police. If you didn't involve the police trying to be nice to the person that hit you then you might learn an important lesson. A person who causes an accident is under no obligation to disclose if or who they are insured with to anyone other than a law enforcement officer. Always, always call the police to the scene of an accident no matter how minor! The one and only exception may be an occurence on private property. On some occasions the police may be too busy to respond but then they will tell you so.

What is the purpose of antivirus softwares?
The sole purpose of antivirus software is protect your computer from viruses. Most antivirus programs nowadays protects your machine from more than just viruses, it also detects and removes worms, Trojans, rootkits, etc. If you don't install a good antivirus program on your computer, you may be infected and not even know it. Worse yet, your confidential information such as usernames and passwords to your bank account may be leaked and you will lose money to hackers.

Does Intelinet Smart Security Include Virus Protection?
i think it does , but there is still a problem , is that enuf to stop the viruses , as long as the network is widely used and many prots ar configured on it , this is an easy way for the virus to spread through the new work , just imagine , the city , there is cops, security robbers , criminals and kidnappers at the same time , unless you report the problem , the network security then takes action , it's a non stop war between the good and the devil , i think that people who create the viruses are the same who create the ant viruse , it only belongs to a commercial purpose , nothin else i think it does , but there is still a problem , is that enuf to stop the viruses , as long as the network is widely used and many prots ar configured on it , this is an easy way for the virus to spread through the new work , just imagine , the city , there is cops, security robbers , criminals and kidnappers at the same time , unless you report the problem , the network security then takes action , it's a non stop war between the good and the devil , i think that people who create the viruses are the same who create the ant viruse , it only belongs to a commercial purpose , nothin else
