Al "Scarface" Capone is one of the most famous gangsters in American history. He began by establishing speakeasies in Chicago during the Prohibition era. Over the years, he also began to control gambling and prostitution during the 1920's. In 1931, he was found guilty for evasion of tax payments and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Vinny Byrne worked in the Department of P&T St John's road for many years

Manufacturing of household appliances, new construction industry, coal production, and growing electrical utilities grew in importance during the 1920's. Ownership of cars, the moving assembly line and the spread of electrical utilities helped make the 1920's a prosperous era.

When farmers products were declined, esp by Europeans. Farmers suffered to sell their stuffs; they couldn't afford their mortgages, and the banks took their farms, houses, and lands.... Many farmers families also met the big problem; men felt ashamed after they lost their jobs, and left their families behind. Children often looking for jobs to help their families as well as women.

In the 1920s, Americans trusted corporate leaders such as John J. Raskob. Raskob was associated with DuPont and General Motors.

Dempsey was a boxer, not a baseball player. May have done exhibition work at fairs and carnivals.

Stock market crash due to buying on margin and overextention of credit to buy consumer goods.

In the 1920's the agricultural products were at their boom. Mechanization was introduced to improve farm technology. But lack of demand brought surplus products in the hands of farmers, prices fell. Farmers became loan defaulters resulting in poor performance in rural banks. But business boomed. There were more production and purchase of machines and electrical appliances through credit system and installment purchase which resulted in bankruptcy.

In the 20's there was only AM (short, medium and long wave), there were fewer commercials. Brroadcast hours were restricted and content was strictly scrutinized, balanced and mostly live. Now it's AM, FM and DAB 24/7 mostly pre-recorded and with little conscience.

In the 1920's, the Cracker Jack prizes were mainly pot metal trinkets. There were some paper items but most of those are very hard to find today. The metal trinkets actually were placed in the bottom of the box or the bottom of the bag of Cracker Jacks.

Family life changed during the 1920's for the better of the children. New laws were being passed that stated children could not work in factories or the coal mines. This interrupted the family finances, though, because what little income the children made was taken away. People were just starting to adjust to this when the Stock Market crashed and the United States fell into a Great Depression late in the 1920's.
