I had same problem. Take apart the distributor and there is a coil or component that looks like one of those portable batteries for hand tools. Its beneath the rotor assemble which all unscrews. Its towatd the bottom of distributor. I replaced coil package? if that was the correct name for $20.00 used and it started right up.

low pulsating noise makes it sound more like warped brake rotors. if you feel any pulsating on the brake peddle when slowing down, it's quite likely the rotors need to be replaced. bearing failure sounds usually increase in pitch and can sound like a drone or a howl depending on your speed and bearing condition, rather than a pulsating.

Yes it does. should be locaed behind radio Usually one bolt to take out looks like a metal casing. The fuel pump relay is a all in one relay. fuel pump, ignition, pcm all in one.

This is a simple do it yourself job.

First you need to locate you blower motor heater which should be under the dashboard passenger side, you might have to remove a peice of trim.

There should be three screws that will remove it.

It should come out in one peice and you have to remove the fan blade that looks like hamster wheel.

Buy new part ( bring old part in to ensure you have the right one)

install new part buy plugging the blower motor in and reinstall ( You might have two blade into the adapter from you old motor)

enjoy the heat, and tell everyone where exactly you blower motor is,

p.s take lots of pictures so you have a reference when reinstalling

Well if it's squealing it either needs tightening or replacing. Once it squeals for a while it will get glazed and never stop squealing. There are products you can spray on it but an old trick it to rub a wax candle on the bottom of the belt with it running, just be careful.

There is also a tab rubbing against the steering wheel. This tab (i think) sends signals from your horn but im not sure. I solved my squaling by placing somthing between the tab and the steering collum.

The sensor is in the overflow bottle. It comes on before the radiator is actually low. It flickers because the coolant is moving back and forth and is at a level that uncovers the sensor.

depending on the type of distributer, it would be inside the distributer. might check the pcm if you have no spark.

I had the same problem with 93 Colt and troubleshooters told me the ECM was bad. Incorrect...the problem lies inside your distributor. There is a part that looks like one of those batteries that connect to the bottom of a portable hand tool. I think its called a coil or coil package and is beneath the rotor inside the distributor. Bought one used for $20.00, reinstalled the entire guts of the distributor and car cranked right up. No problems since. Did not remove distributor shaft.

hi, i need know in that place of internet i found the complete dash to my car, is a Dodge Colt STD year 1991 hatchback 2 doors, the dash of my car is very brocken and ugly, i live in San Jos

you just have to remove the horn cover and you should see the nut that fix the steering. it should be hard to remove but you can achieve it even if u don't have a puller. First u should take a marker and place a mark to be sure to replace the steering at the same position. Then if you have a puller use it, if not i had success by pulling (we were 2 guys pulling) the steering and knocking on the top of the bolt to make some vibration and make the removal easier.

fuel injectors need to be cleaned and/or fuel filter needs to be replaced..it can also be for numerous reasons..like a bad sensor or an early indication of a failing ecu..but in most cases it's one of the 2 fore mentioned faults.if you do clean the injectors and replace the fuel filter and the car continues to 'stall' then IMMEDIATELY stop using it and see a mechanic because if it's a failing ecu; continuance of operating the car will blow the ecu beyond repair, ecus are expensive to replace and without it the car will be written-off. -freebsdkid
