2002 dodge stratus 4-cylinder auto car will not shift out of low gear?
this assums you have checked your transmission fluid, and are only using chysler trans fluid. DO NOT USE DEXRON OR FORD TRANS FLUID. If it is not pure Chrysler +3 or +4 you must change it and do not allow any one even a mechanic tell you otherwise.
If your transmission will only use one forward "gear" then it is one of these usually, #1 could be your transmission relay FUSE, this operates the transmission shift pack RELAY. The fuse is covered and in front of the battery positive red cable. the FUSE for trans relay will be clearly marked. CHECK IT! if fuse is good put it back and move on to next problem area.#2 "there are two relay covers" one in front of the red battery cable connection and one rear of red battery cable . The rear cover needs to be removed to see the TRANSMISSION RELAY. it is clearly marked. $11.99 at most any auto-parts store if you get a universal relay, bring yours for comparison. dealer also has them for much more. #3, If new relay will not correct your problem then change trany fluid AND filter AND gasket. use only ATF+3 OR ATF+4. road test. If its good great if not ,#4 have a shop REVERSE FLUSH your transmission, Not all shops will do this, get in your phone book and call around, and ASK QUESTIONS do not go TO just any shop, ask if they have equipment for this, lots of dodge dealers can do this .#4 If you don't want to put out the 120 bucks for the flush then put a brand new shift pack with two new gaskets it should cure your problem, if not have your tranny rebuilt or buy new, hope this helps

Fuses That "Blow" Repeatedly
Without being able to "hands on" troubleshoot the circuit served by the repeatedly blowing fuse, no one can identify the specific cause/defect which is causing your problem.
Therefore, the following generic answer can be applied to any electrical circuit, whether in a vehicle, or in a building, or whether alternating current [AC] or direct current [DC].
Fuses [and Circuit Breakers] are safety devices designed and installed in electrical circuits TO PROTECT the conductors [wires] and other components from short circuit conditions and/or overload conditions which cause an extremely large flow of electrical current [measured in Amperes], which causes overheating of the conductors that results in damage to the insulation and the conductors. And in a worst case scenario, the probability of a FIRE which could destroy the vehicle, house, or other structure in which the circuit is located.
When a fuse or Circuit Breaker [and replacement fuses, or "tripping" Circuit Breakers] "blow," especially if it happens repeatedly, is an indication of an UNSAFE CONDITION in that circuit, usually a short.
The fuse or circuit breaker is doing what it was designed, intended, and installed to do, protect the conductors and components of the circuit which it serves.
The proper "fix" is for a qualified technician, who knows what he or she is doing, to troubleshoot the involved circuit, find and identify the defect, and make proper repair [s], BEFORE replacing the fuse again [with the properly sized fuse or before resetting a circuit breaker].
Some ignorant few will suggest installing a larger fuse or breaker to solve the problem, BUT that will only increase the hazard, not correct it. Do not follow "bad" advice by installing a larger fuse in a misguided attempt to correct the problem. To install an over-sized fuse would almost guarantee damage to the wiring and an electrical system fire.

Honda Man's Answer The AC drain is on the bottom of the evaporator case and goes through the firewall. Sometimes the drain can be cleaned using a metal coat hanger and sticking it into the hole from the engine side of the firewall. If it works a rush of water will flow out. It's possible that the case may need to be removed and cleaned if there are excessive amounts of debris like leaves accumulated inside.
