Emo kids are generally the ones that wear more black, but also wear neon colours. most people that know what emo is, would say that not all emo's cut themselves, but it's generally more of the poseurs. A lot of people judge emo's based upon the way they act, and dress.
Scene:
Scene kids, referred to as 'Scenesters' usually wear more colours. Scenesters do socialize with people, but are still judged based upon the way they look. now scenesters do not cut, that's the big difference. There are many kinds of scenesters such as - Scenesters, Scenequeen, TecnoScene, or GlamScene. Either way, they all have bouncy, spunky, cheerful attitude's.
Now remember, these two sterotypes are both judged, and called the same, but there are differences. Scenes hate to be called emos, and vise versa for emos.

You shouldn't have to impress anybody by changing who you are, if she likes you, then good for you, if not, move on. She's not worth changing who YOU are to meet her standards, or liking. Nobody is. Besides, Emo people don't usually like somebody that's different from them, it's always possible, but it's rare.

The hair cuts tend to have awkward sharp angles and are often glossed. Many of the guys wear very tight jeans, often women's. The girls tend to lean more towards late 70's to early 80's fashion.
Well no not really i mean its a simple shade of clothing that any kind of person wears, does not mean they belong to any type of society its simple common sense So i don't think that because you wear black it means you are emo, that is from personal thoughts after all i wear black or shaded colors all the time i don't like bright stand out colors and black is my favorite one to wear and I'm not emo so i don't think that its right for some one to say that only because you like black means you are emo.
