In a Ford F350, the transmission fill box is located on the passenger side near the passenger compartment. The handle type fastener slides down allowing the top to be removed for refilling the transmission.

For a Ford 5.4 liter gasoline V8 engine :

The firing order is ( 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 )

It has the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. ) ignition system with ( 8 ) individual coils

The engine cylinder locations are numbered :

Under the driver side valve cover second one back from the front of the motor. So it's from the front 2468 on the driver side(left head) and 1357 on the Passenger (right) cyl head.

Note to everyone when determining and referring to left and right on a vehicle pretend you are sitting in the driver's seat and that's how we mechanics refer to left and right when talking or ordering parts. If anyone tells you otherwise they are 100% wrong and if its a mechanic get your keys and take your vehicle somewhere else cause a good mechanic knows this.... the bad ones get confused and tell people other wise and now everyone's confused! Except of course good mechanics -- we know what's right... and left!

My 2004 Excursion has the 6.0 L diesel - it will get 19 to 20 mpg highway if you have the dealer update all of the control modules / systems. that's increased from 17mpg before updating firmware on the modules. City varies, but is probably around 14 depending how you drive. If you have either of the gas engines, I'd suggest buying Exxon - it would be cheaper! (I love my diesel Excursion... At 8300 pounds it gets better mileage than a GM minivan!)

There is too much incorrect info out there re: the 351C engine. 266HP net is correct for '72 (M or Q code). The '73 351C 4V (Q) was rated 248HP net due to lower compression (dished pistons) and smaller valves. All my information is taken from original Ford literature.

A problem has been detected with the Anti-lock Brake System

It could be a fuse ( blown , or in my case not installed all the way , still suspicious of how that could have happened )

A sensor , or some other problem

As long as the red " BRAKE " light in your dash is not on you still have

" normal " brakes

unfortunetly they dont have individual injectors they have a spider injector system which you have to remove the upper intake plenum remove the whole system and replace. they also cost upwards of 300 dollars at a dealer. not sure if they make them after maket either. hope this helps

The heater is just above the starter on the passanger side. Some even came with the cord and it will be behind the grill tucked up almost were you can not see it just around the passanger side fog light. Ebay has the cord for around 20.00 or got to the ford dealer and pay 79.95

I was looking at the 2008 Ford F-350 Owner Guide and it shows :

" This switch is located on the passenger's side of the instrument panel . Open

the front passenger door and remove the small access panel "

It's next to the Ignition Control Module (ICM) located on the firewall behind and just below the drivers headlight!
