Yep you sure can, a company called van aaken produce a turbocharging kit for that engine. Its a bit dodgy though, and you would be much better off swapping for a 2.0 litre zetec, and then turbocharging that. Or you can pick up zetec turbo engines relatively cheap off of eBay.

i think is in underneath the glove box you should see 2 clips that unscrew possibly a yellow color and then the fuse box should fall down

A 2008 Ford Focus 4 door will do 108 on flat ground. I can only assume the 11' model is about the same. That is not true i have a new 2011 Ford Focus and it tops out at 112/113 on flat ground been to 116 going down hill.

And over 150 off a cliff. But watch out for a sudden stop.

I experienced the same problem with my ford. After checking out a couple things i discovered during a tire rotation that i had a bent rim. These happen when you hit potholes. I was able to replace the rim with a re-tooled one (saved me about $100) and the vibration immediately stopped. The bend wasn't really visable to me but after it was off the wheel i could see it. You should stop by your local tire place and get it checked out.

check your antifreeze and water...maybe water pump too.check for a thermostat that is not closing ,.in other words a faulty thermostat

do a routine tune up. normal parts replacement parts. If no success then take it to a parts store and ask them to put it on a scan tester. It may help identify the problem. It could be many different things that could cause the misfire. Things from the main computer to a dirty, or fouled plug. It could also be bad gas, clogged filter, or injectors. lots of possible reasons. The scan tool is the best place to start. hope it helps. duboff

A lit Check Engine light indicates there is a malfunction that has been detected and a diagnosis needs to be done with an OBDII scanner to find the problem. If there is no problem, the Check Engine light can be reset either with the OBDII scanner or by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes. Word of caution: when resetting by disconnecting the battery, the computer's Keep Alive Memory will be erased and the vehicle will run rough for several miles until the computer re-learns the settings.

yes but it would take alot of time and money to do so . You will have to replace the wiring harness , add a automatic trans computer cables etc.... unless you could get another parts car with a these parts .... but then you would still have to take it to ford to reprogram to the whole car for everything to work right.

I did a Google search , and if you look at the 8th " character " of your VIN and it is an

" N " it is the 2.0 L ( and I believe it is " P " for the 2.3 liter )

Try changing the fuel filter.

The 2001 Ford Focus has an inline 4 engine.

Ok everyone who is asking this question and is told to go to the owners manual and look, you are being told the wrong pages. The correct pages (and I don't know why it is located there) are 127-134. The fuses are described in the emergency information. I really hope this helps everyone.
