The transmission have a bolt underneath. Just loosen it and drain the oil, but make shure when putting the clean oil back to put the same amount back if you do not have a dip stick. Idea is to then use a magnet in the old oil and see if there is any metal in it. if so then take it to a mechanic.

1 - 3 - 4 - 2 is the firing order

The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE

The # 1 position on the distributor cap faces TOWARDS the engine

The engine cylinders / spark plug locations are numbered :

( I checked a few places because motorcraft.com showed 1 - 4 - 3 - 2 as the firing

order and it didn't seem right so I figured it must be a typing error )

it's somthing under the brake pedal, it's sticking and just needs to be loosened. you'll also find when you press the pedal in, the brake lights will go off.

To find a second hand Ford Laser car, you could search websites such as Gumtree and eBay. Also, you could buy magazines, such as AutoTrader. There are alot of magazines which have pages containing information of second hand items.

Ok i can help because i drive a 1994 1.6 dash and i had this problem before, ten to one its just a loos connection that's 1 fault of the car what you do is go to your car open the bonnet, follow the wire from the fan towards the engen then you should find what looks like a type of plug at the end of the wire jiggle that a bit and ensure its secure this time also check the connection on the fans side and presto prob solved

check the spark plugs and leads, there may be no spark going to the pistons. also check the carburettor. this happened to my 1987 laser, i did all this and it now runs like a dream

For a 1992 Ford Laser 1.6 F6 engine, the distributor should be pointed towards the number one cylinder's spark plug terminal when the timing marks align. Ensure that the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one before setting the distributor. To replace the battery water on a Ford Laser, first ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked on a flat surface. Carefully remove the battery caps using a wrench or a screwdriver, depending on the battery type. Check the electrolyte level; if it's low, add distilled water until it reaches the recommended level, avoiding overfilling. Finally, securely reattach the battery caps and clean any spilled liquid around the battery.

Disconnect batt, remove wires from back & bolts (2) at 6 & 12 o'clock. If serpentine pry idler to remove belt first.

The module is in the distributor. You have to dismantle the dissy to replace. The module is conected to a small coil by push in clips. The coil sits around the center spindle and the module is held by 2 screws. White heat sink grease is supplied with the new mod. and is applied to the back before screwing down. The wires then clip on to the module. Usually when gone, the car stops and can be re-started after a while..this goes on......

It could well be a resonance set-up somewhere - at 70, some part of the car starts to vibrate. Unfortunatley it could be almost anywhere, any part, even one of the tyres. If it is resonance, it will be almost untraceable. All you can do is earch very carefully for anything at all that looks like it could be the cause.

When i went to ford and got my code numbers there were only 3 numbers so you should not need more than five buttons to play with.

Thru the Transmission Dip stick hole. If a manual it goes in the speedo drive in the box. Remove the drive and fill to cover the plastic drive and the notch above it. You use the drive as a dip-stick.

Cam markings at 3 o'clock position with top mark lined up with center of camshaft cover. Crankshaft cog stamped pointer lined up with cut-out at rear.

Clutches in laser are operated by cable you don't have to put fluid anywhere.

Buy a new car with one already installed

1,remove wiring from horn unit,2 pull out fuse,3 take off horn cover on steering wheel & disconnect wiring Remember though, you need to have it if you are pulled over, or you get a fix it ticket.
