Where in the world is the golden eagle found?

What is the meaning of the eagle?
It could symbolize religious connection, the US, being elevated above your fellows, and some other connotations.
EagleThe eagle was a symbol born by men of action, occupied with high and weighty affairs. It was given to those of lofty spirit, ingenuity, speed in comprehension, and discrimination in matters of ambiguity. The wings signify protection, and the gripping talons symbolize ruin to evildoers. The eagle is held to represent a noble nature from its strength and aristocratic appearance, as well as its association with the ancient kings of Persia, Babylon and the Roman legions, having been the official ensign of those empires. Since then, other empires and nations have also adopted the eagle as their symbol, such as the German third Reich and the empire conquered by Napoleon. The eagle is also associated with the sun. As a Christian symbol, the eagle represents salvation, redemption and resurrection. The eagle has been represented over the centuries in a variety of different ways: wing tips pointed up or down, wings closed or rising or the eagle displayed from above with one or two heads. Parts of the eagle such as the head, wings, legs or talons, are also often symbols in heraldry. The claw of a bird and leg of a bird are always taken to be that of an eagle unless specified otherwise, and the eagle leg borne on a shield or coat of arms is said to signify that the "preyer upon others has been preyed upon," though this is highly uncertain. An interesting form of the eagle is the alerion, which is drawn without the beak or the legs. It is thought to represent a formerly great warrior who was seriously injured in combat and is no longer able to fight. The osprey may also be classed with the eagle. It is always represented as a white eagle and is referred to in heraldry as a sea-eagle.Quote from

Why were bananas rationed in world war 2?
U.S. soldiers were given Hershey's chocolate bars in rations. It was considered a great snack for boosting energy.
Actually the exact opposite is the case. Not withstanding Hogan's Heroes where bribes are routinely paid to Shultz in the higly prized "AMERICAN CHOCOLATE", the real bar provided to American troops in WW2 was a special order bar bearing no resemblance to a chocolate bar any of us would buy at a store. It in fact was so bad, so difficult to eat, and so hard on the digestive system, that it was a useless product for the most part.
You must remember that his chocolate bar was an US Military design, not a Hershey design (it was produced by Hershey Chocolate). The US Military wanted an emergency rathion, not a treat for the soldiers and so they put forth a set of requirements for the bar among them being:
1) the bar must be temperature resistant so that it would not melt in the field
2) it must provide approximately 1800 calories
3) it must taste only slightly better than a raw potatoe
Yes, these were the requirements of the bar. The thinking was that if the bar tasted even remotely good, then soldier would eat the bar anytime they wanted a treat, rather than saving it as an emergency ration. Unfortunately, Hershey was too good at its job. The bar was indeed temperature resistant to about 120F., it did provide the requested caloric quantity, and it tasted bad, was hard to eat, and caused indigestion on most occassions.
As a result, the bar was pretty much a failure, for the army, and a great success to Hershey. Hershey received no less than five awards of Excellence from the US Govenment for the bar and its variations over the years. But in the field the bar was rarely eaten and instead was either thrown away, or if possible traded to anyone who did not yet know how bad it was for anything more palatable.
In the defense of Hershey Chocolate, they did indeed to a some excellent work with the bar. They met the requirements the US Military put to them. In the processes they had to invent an entirely new way to make chocolate bars. And they did over the years by request, make several attempts to improve the bar in various ways. They even made it resistant to poison gas at one point through its packaging.
To recap, the LOGAN bar as it was called in WW2 is nothing like a "real" chocolate bar and was not enjoyed by anyone.
The Luger P08 was the side arm used by the German Army for both World War 1 and World War 2. The pistol was deisgned by George Luger and went into production in 1908, thus Pistol 08 or P08. The design had a unique toggle receiver mechanism. The gun has only 2 screws and they hold on the wood grips. This design uses close tolerance, sliding mechanisms that does not withstand dirt and grime. That is why the Luger holster completely encloses the pistol.

What is the value of an 1875 5 pfennig?
Four different silver colored "pfennig" coins were produced by Germany ("Deutsches Reich" is German for "German Kingdom" or "German Regime") in 1875, but only the 20 Pfennig or 50 Pfennig were made of silver (the 5 and 10 pfennig coins were made of copper-nickel). Depending on condition and mintmark, the 5 Pfennig is worth US$0.25 to US$100 (although the "H" mintmark ranges more like US$20 to US$175), and the 10 Pfennig is worth US$1 to US$70 (although the "H" mintmark ranges more like US$10 to US$165).
The 20 Pfennig weighs 1.111 grams and is 90% silver, giving it an ASW (Actual Silver Weight) of 0.0321 troy ounces. It is worth US$5 to US$75 (although the "E" and "H" mintmarks ranges more like US$17 to US$200).
The 50 Pfennig weighs 2.777 grams and is 90% silver, giving it an ASW (Actual Silver Weight) of 0.0803 troy ounces. It is worth US$8 to US$150 (although the "E" and "H" mintmarks ranges more like US$150 to US$2,000).
The mintmarks refer to: "A" for Berlin, "B" for Hannover, "C" for Frankfurt, "D" for Munich, "E" for Dresden, "F" for Stuttgart, "G" for Karlsruhe, "H" for Darmstadt and "J" for Hamburg. Usually, the Berlin mint had the highest production (although in 1875, the Munich mint produced more 20 Pfennig coins than did Berlin).

What is the value of a 1950 5 pfennig?
sammler.com, a major German collectibles site, lists retail values for a 1950 1 pf coin at €2 in XF condition, and €4 if uncirculated.
In average circulated condition it will be worth much less, maybe €0.25 to €0.50. 1950 was the first year that coins were issued by the new Federal Republic of Germany, so huge numbers were struck to replace the existing Nazi coins and occupation currency in use following the end of the war. About 3 billion 1 pf pieces were struck, so many that new ones weren't needed until the mid-1960s; they still showed up in change regularly until Germany adopted the euro in 2002.
