You will need to remove the grill from your 2000 GMC Jimmy. With the grill removed. You can remove the hood latch retaining bolts. The hood will be released with the latch bolts removed.

If there are any cracks at all it is bad. If you see burnt contacts it is bad. When you have doubts about it and suspect it is bad, simply replace it. If may have a tiny crack that only appears when it gets hot.

Its on the inside drivers frame rail.

The tap is located on the receiver/dryer which looks like a one quart aluminum bottle. The dryer is on the (low pressure) suction side of the compressor and has larger lines than the smaller (high pressure) liquid lines. Never attempt to charge through the small lines! Also the tap fittings are different sizes The average charge kit available at parts stores will only fit the suction fitting.

Try going to the dealer and tlaking with the guys at the parts desk. Sometimes they can pull the info up on their computers. The public library is also another place to look if you don't want to purchase your own Chilton's service manual.

the drain plug on the 1999 jimmy is under the pasenger side up front you will see a hose coming out from under the ruber skirt follow that to the plug, or you can see it from the top with a light

The transmission lines on a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4x4 are replaced by disconnecting the lines at the radiator and then the side of the transmission. They are then removed from the bottom of the vehicle and new lines put in place.

I am guessing, but since I had this problem perhaps this will help you. You must replace the entire switching mechanism that contains the cruise control, blinkers and hazard lights. I replaced mine and it all works just fine again. This is actually a common problem with these SUVs. You can order the part online for only $99 at 1A Auto.

I believe it is under the dash on the left side - by your left foot. There are two round silver relays and a rectangular circuit breaker tucked way up toward the firewall, beyond the fuses. These are used by the power windows and power door locks. You will have to remove one plastic panel to access them. If the breaker is popped you can reset it by poking a paper clip in the hole in its surface.

In the compartment that holds the jack for this model, look for the wires near the rear it should be by the brake light but inside the vehicle. There should be a connection there for the light. If there is corrosion or a loose wire this would cause the problem of the passenger side working and not the drivers, I researched this dealing with no lights except the 3rd light working during braking, turns out it is the trailer harness connection.

sounds like a bad relay or dash switch My 1996 has the same problem. When the blower doesn't work, try this: Turn the fan to the highest setting, then with a screwdriver handle or rubber mallet, whack the top of the blower housing (upper left corner of the engine compartment.) Not hard, just a good firm whack. You should hear the blower motor sucking in air from the vent. If this works, the relay may not be the cause. it seems to be a weak connection. I haven't opened the blower case yet to find out for sure. I just keep whacking it when I need it to work!

when this happened to me it was the connector to the blower motor you might want to check there. the fuse and relay and resistor and dash swtch was good

Maybe your cooling/heat system is all plugged up with radiator deposits. You could try flushing the radiator and see if it helps.

I thought my system had star bolts, not Allen bolts. You may need star wrenchs. I think mine were 10mm stars

It should,however it might be a different motor mount ,intake or a variety of other differences.It would help in we knew what type of vehicle the 94 4.3 was from.Also the oil pan might be different from 2x4 to 4x4.Need more info.

The engine is from a 1994 Chevy Blazer LT 2 door 4x4. The truck I need to install an engine in is a 1998 GMC Jimmy 4 door 4X4. Seems to have all the same options. Developed a Rod knock at @150,000. The donor engine has 170,000 but no smoke or noises.

The major difference I can think of is the 94 is a throttle body injection engine and the 98 has a sequential fuel injection system.

There can be a few problems that cause this. When you turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump run which is in the tank? If not there is a fuse and a relay for them under the hood in the power distribution center. If you do hear it running check for spark by remove a wire from a spark plug and placing a screw driver or similar metal object into the end of the wire. while holding it just above a good clean metal surface on the engine, have someone turn it over to see if you can see spark, if not replace the ignition control module for starters. If you have spark and hear the pump run pour a little gas down the air horn, if it starts now you have a weak fuel pump as it takes more fuel pressure to cold start then to run the engine.
