How do you replace a seat heater on an 2003 GMC Denali?

If the seat heater shuts itself off after you hit the button, chances are there is damaged wiring in the seat bottom heater pad. Search online for "Denali seat heater replacement" and you will find the parts you need. It requires removing the leather seat cover, unplugging and removing the old heating pad, and laying on the new one (it is like a giant sticker). Alternatively you can just stick the new heater pad on top of the old one. Then plug the NEW heater pad in, reinstall the seat cover, and enjoy a warm butt.

What could cause daytime running lights on a 1996 GMC Sierra to stop working?

Open the driver side door, pull open the fuse door. Check the daytime running lights fuse. If blown replace with equialant fuse rate. If blows again, check all wiring running to lamps. My 96's daytime lights don't work due to wiring frying under the dash (past owner hooked his trailer brakes bais control into the DTRL wiring). Check the other answers too.

AnswerI have a '96 Sierra Z71 5.7L w/ 201k miles and I have the same problem w/ my running lights. I have asked my dad and our mechanic about the problem and if I remember correctly they said that there is some kind of computer module in the engine compartment that controls them, and that they can quit working. But, every once in a while, maybe every 3 or 4 months, my running lights will work for about a day then quit working again. I will talk to my mechanic a.s.a.p. and see if I cant help to clearify which computer module it is that could be the problem. AnswerCheck your emergency brake pedal. make sure it is all the way up if it is down just one click the day time running lamps will not come on. AnswerMy 2001 Sierra's Daytime running lights only come on when the transmission is in Drive or Reverse. Hard to check unless you can see their reflection in a chrome bumper, etc.

1996-99 Chevy trucks. There is a diode, located under the dash between the steering wheel and the radio, fastenen to the round dash bar. The bolt that holds it on, threads into the top of the bar, it is near impossible to get at with a wrench. It is a finned block of (usaully black) aluminum about 2 inches squared 3 inches long. I found a easy way to get it out. Looking up you will see two tabs bent holding the diode in a bracket, bend them out of the way( you may have to bend the bracket a little aswell) and with patience the diode will slide out of the bracket, then disconect the electrical plug-in. I have found that this is the main reason for day-time driving light failure

Which is the return fuel line on your 1999 gmc suburban?

if you look on the rear top of intake maifold on top of engine you will see two fuel lines that come up from the back of the engine & go into the manifold. there is a 5/16" and a 3/8" one,,, the smaller of the two is the return the larger is the "feed" line. if you are under the vehicle, they run up the frame on the drivers side, But be careful as there are actually four lines that usually run up the frame together! the 3/8" one is the fuel feed, the 5/16" one is the fuel return, and there will be TWO 1/4" ones, one of which is the vapor line going from your tank to the charcoal canister in the front of truck, the other one will be your rear brake line that runs from your abs unit up on the fenderwell all the way back to the crossmember above the rear axle where it screws into the end of a high pressure rubber line that goes down to the rear axle..

Why does your check engine light come on in 1999 GMC suburban when all the gauges are fine and nothing needs to filled?

How do you change or add air conditioning fluid to a 2000 Suburban What is the correct replacement fluid?

The refrigerant in a 2000 vehicle will be 134A. There should be no need to change it, but you should be able to add a little to the LOW side. You can purchase the refrigerant and an installation hose kit. There are two "ports" for the refrigerant, if you buy the installation kit it will not allow you to connect to the wrong port. But be very careful. If you don't do it right you can add too much and blow out the seals on the compressor. That will be far more than anything you would save by having a professional do the work for you.

Will a bad starter drain your battery in your suburban?

Interior handle won't open 99 gmc suburban door?

This happened with my 99 GMC suburban. The actual handle that you grab to open the door is made of aluminum and can break. This is what the problem turned out to be for mine (don't know what caused it). The entire gray square (plastic) assembly, including the aluminum handle, can be bought from the dealer. The handle has a metal clip/hook in the back of the gray assembly (inside the door body) and when the handle breaks or disengages from the hook-up, it won't open the door.

Got the replacement assembly (it's been a while now so I don't remember the price, easy to call the dealer and ask) and replaced it. This is a tricky thing as GM uses these plastic clips to hold the door components together and, if you break them, will leave you with loose door panels. First, the inside panel has to be taken out. Take a MEDIUM-sized screwdriver and gently LIFT the panel AWAY from the door, taking care not to totally rip the plastic screws out nor disengage the panel. This will give you a view of where the clips are. If you're careful, you can pull that panel off the door enough. Unfortunately, there are electrical connectors to that panel (for the auto lock and window). The wires were long enough that I could prop the panel on a step stool just under the door and not totally disengage the panel. Some of the connectors are easy enough to unplug, but from my recollection, the panel was still connected. There is a plastic sheet that is right behind that panel to protect moisture from rusting the door's insides, with some access holes in them to reach the lock. With decent difficulty, I snaked my hand behind the plastic, pulled the handle assembly out and replaced with a new one. Reattaching everything was a breeze. One tricky part was the new handle's connection to the locking mechanism, which I just had to force without breaking the handle again. I did all this in one afternoon, by myself, for about 3-4 hours. I did take time to not rip out the screws, how to prop up the panel, disconnect the electricals, not rip out the plastic sheet, and figure out how to reach behind it. In addition, it would have been so much easier if someone was helping me hold the panel when I was detaching and reattaching it. It was very satisfying to be able to fix it back to 100%. Can you fix a DVD Player that says Disc region error?

This message implies that the DVD you're trying to play is the "wrong" region. Many DVD players do have options to make them region free; try searching for the make and model of your DVD player together with "region free", and you should be able to find instructions about making your player region free.

Go to: www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks and type in your model number and if they have a hack, you can program your remote to change DVD Region. N America is region 1.
