Do you have to travel as a graphic designer?

It depends on where you are and what kind of design you do. Imagine you do manuals for Caterpillar. Caterpillar's headquarters is in Illinois, so you probably are too. Should Caterpillar's forklift operation, which is in Texas, come up with a new machine you need to create manuals for, you're probably going to wind up in Texas for at least a few days. A lot of graphic designers do press checks--approving sheets as they come off the press. A vast amount of print, especially children's books, is being done in the Orient, so designers flying to Korea or China to check print runs is not uncommon. And a lot of printers don't travel at all--or just in the local area. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only few of us will do travel and manage press checks, when we are freelancers. rest of the graphic designer does what they know ie: if somebody know only photoshop or illustrator they dont want to go to press to check their proofs and they dont even go to client's place to discuss anything about the design bcoz they are graphic designer but not good communicator.

Why wont my wacom intuos touch and pen tablet work?

I recently bought a Wacom Intuos Touch and Pen tablet. When I first got it, it worked perfectly, however, after a few days it really went downhill. I've had it for barely a month now, the lead is fine, and it doesn't need to be replaced yet, but sometimes when I'm drawing (don't know if it helps, but the drawing programs I use are PaintTool SAI and FireAlpaca) The pen worn't work. If I'm drawing something and need to move to a different area, the tablet doesn't register that I liften up the pen, and it still draws on the page, but with a very small size. I checked and made sure I had the latest software for my tablet, which I do, and I even reinstalled it, and it worked for a little bit, until I started to have the same problem again. It sometimes won't even register when I put the pen down, and won't draw or select whatever tool I need to use. I've looked online and I haven't had any luck, so I'm all out of ideas now.

How long does it take to get a Bachelors degree in graphic design?

A bachelor's degree in most areas can require between 120 to 128 college credits particular to a specific program of study. This would be based on a college or university that operates on a regular two semester academic year which is the most common. For institutions that operate on a tri-semester or quarter-semester it would be quite different. That being said, the Bachelor's degree - in most cases - is designed as a four year program of study, provided the student is full-time and follows their chosen program of study as prescribed by the college or university, and also provided the individual does not require prerequisite or developmental coursework as a result of basic skills testing. The minimum credit load for a full-time student is no less than 12 credits per semester. However, to complete the degree within the four years, a credit load of approximately 15 to 18 credits is recommended. For individuals who work or who have other responsibilities that would prohibit them from attending full-time, completion of the degree may take twice as long. Still, some of this time can be cut down by attending summer sessions and/or interim sessions. In addition, the bachelors and associate degrees are referred to as undergraduate degrees while the masters and doctorate degrees referred to as graduate degrees.
