A few causes that will make the Battery Light come on are:

1. Faulty Battery

2. Loose Battery Connection

3. Battery is not Charging, ie. Faulty Alternator

1. A car shaking over a certain speed is usually caused by front wheel alignment/front end problems.

2. Check lug nuts for tightness.

3. Tire balance might be off.

If it is a manual transmission you do not have transmission cooler lines. If its an automatic they will be on one side of the radiator and you can follow them to the tranny from there.

I believe Oreilly Auto Parts had told me 5w30 for mine. You can double check it with a parts store clerk.

The standard engine for the 1992 Honda Prelude is the H22. The H16 will also fit. However, it was used in many of the older models.

My '87 Prelude has a mechanical cable that spins from the rotation of the transmission. The speedometer cable enters the transmission vertically on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. The cable spins from a gear arrangement built into the transmission. The cable rises up from the transmission and bends to a level position as it crosses over the top of the engine. The cable bends again towards the firewall as the cable comes over the engine to the driver's side of the engine compartment. The cable goes through the firewall and into the back of the speedometer. I just replaced mine and it was a pretty easy job except for the clip that needs to be removed at the tranny end of the cable. Wrap a rag around the cable so that if you lose the clip, it doesn't fall into the transmission. Also, the clip is covered by a boot that protects the cable/tranny end from contamination. Pull the boot up and you can get to the clip. When putting the clip back on, put the clip in the boot BEFORE lowering the cable end into the tranny. You then put the clip on by feeling the clip "click" into the groove as the cable goes in. I spent hours trying to put the clip on and then trying to pull the little boot over the clip. The clip kept coming out and the boot wouldn't stretch over the clip's ends. Good Luck.

Black Pepper is not good for your engine or radiator, so you should just get it fixed instead of taking the chance to mess up your engine.

What You Should do is get it fixed right away. Fix it the right way by getting it fixed by a professional because putting black pepper in it could make more of a disaster.

I have the same problem but what else I experienced is that ralely my can does not satart when I turn the key (does not crank) and in all those situation opening the door of the gas tank and it gets depressurized ,made it to behave normally and there might be a relation which gives a clue.(fuel pump maybe.)

My car turns off when I release the gas pedal after having it depressed for a fairly long time (like in the intersections after riding on highways for a while).

Umm, first of all.... your prob. thinking of the all wheel steering prelude.... its like the warthog in HALO.... and yes it is a 2.3L.... 93 and on came with the vtec option, till 97-01 when it was standard..... also the TypeSH prelude came out in 97-01..... the base models for those years had 190hp from 97-98, and from 99-01 the had 195hp...... The Sh models came with 195 hp for 97-98, and 200hp 99-01. The Type sh was named best handling car under 30grand by car and driver..... the 92 AWS "all wheel steering" was the best handling car period back then.... topping the lambo and porsche, back then. For the front wheels, adjust the tie rods. For the rear wheels, there is a bolt on a control arm with a weird / off-centered looking washer on it, loosen the nut, and turn the bolt, this will adjust the toe. The camber is not adjustable if you dont have a camber kit. The best way is always to take it to a shop that has guaranteed work.

It all depends on what you can notice.

If your dash lights and all other light components stay on its most likely not a battery problem but if all lights do turn off check your battery terminals for corrosion and recharge your battery.

If you are driving and your vehicle stalls or turn off on you while all lights are still one its most likely a fuel problem.

in this case disconnect the battery and afterwards remove your fuel filter you will notice gas leaking while loosing it but let it finish leaking and remove it completely afterwards.

On a clean area shake the gas that's still in the filter to see if its dirty.

if it is dirty you will see a almost black color or brown color. If you notice a brown rust like color it may be a sign your gas tank has corroded which you will have to replace the gas tank and get a new one.

(The fuel pump may have been damaged so you may also have to replace it.)

Replace the fuel filter they are around 15 dollars or less depending on the brand at autozone or other auto parts store.

make sure when you are replacing it that the tightening components are tight or fuel will leak. One way to check if they are tight enough have someone turn the vehicle on and while on park press the gas pedal gradually all the way while you check for any leaks if it doesn't leak it was installed properly if not it will leak so if it leaks just disconnect the battery both terminals and go under and tighten even more.

if the vehicle doesn't turn on after you replace the fuel filter while off keep pressing on the gas pedal and try to turn it on if still doesnt turn on use started spray and spray it on the intake tube of the air filter.

The better question is why would you install a muffler that is rusted? In my experience exhaust installation is a job that I don't want to repeat often, and once a muffler has started to rust it will go quickly! If it is only a little surface rust, then take a wire brush to it and it should be fine. Your bigger concern will be getting a pipe clamp to go on or getting the pipe to go in or over the inlet and outlet as they are usually misshapen by the original pipe clamp. My recommendation would be to get a new muffler, they are less expensive than you might think! You can go on www.partsamerica.com and check out prices before you go to the store. Many of the civics, especially the older models, have the common rust around the rear wheel well. Many of these rusty civics are located in the north and driven through the winters. There are a couple reasons so many civics are rusting.

First is the condensation that forms on the inside of the car. Think of a glass of ice water sitting outside on a warm summer day. Condensation is going to form on the outside of the glass because it is so warm. I've even seen condensation form on the outside of house windows on a hot humid summer day when the air conditioner is on inside. Same concept with your car. When it is cold and snowy outside, you have the heat cranked up inside your car. This creates condensation, in addition you create more moisture when you are breathing and when you get in your car with snow on your shoes which melts and then evaporates. Cars have vents near the rear to help keep the air flow going through the vehicle, however that is not enough in the civic's case. Also the civic only has this vent on the drivers side below the tail light, not like many vehicles that have them on both sides and even in the door jambs sometimes. This creates condensation build up on the inside of your rear quarter panels. It drips down and collects around the inside of the wheel well. This is how the rust begins where the rear bumper meets the wheel well, the rust starts inside and eats its way through, until you see a tiny bubble or two form on the outside of your fender's paint. Condensation also drips down the front of the wheel well and sits in the inner rocker panel area. Fortunately, the inner rocker panel space has drain holes in the bottom but can still rust. This area is behind the plastic side skirts so you usually wouldn't know if there is rust.

Second cause of rust is the rubber strip Honda puts on the inner fender lip. People rip these off and throw them away because they retain water and road salt. These rubber strips also prevent rock chips which can lead to rust. So instead of taking them off and throwing them away, clean the whole area and inside of the strip & let everything dry, apply body sealer, silicone or similar calk to the inside of the strip and put it back on. Now you have protection from rock strips, and you're keeping the moisture out.

Automatic transmission with 1.6L engine? The dip stick is on the front side of the transmission on the driver's side of the engine bay near the radiator and under the battery tray area. It is low and has a round plastic 3/8" knob on top if it. Mine is orange. The dip stick tube on the transmission is only about 8 inches long.

On a 1991 Honda Prelude 2.1SI, the Oil Sensor is located slightly above the Oil Filter.

First off check to see if you need A complete Kit or just Certain Parts..

Honestly i would just buy the OEM Kit and Wait For Something better But This is On how To Install a OEM Clutch.

First off Get the car Either on A Lift or Jack stands.. Raise the Front so you have Room to unmount the transmission from the Motor.

then after you unbolt the transmission from The motor the best Thing is to have the Flywheel resurfaced*. This is important because a heat checked flywheel will cause chatter and ultimately a shorter service life...

Next step is to Remove the Old Clutch, pressure plate ,Pilot, and throwout berrings.

Then (If you bought A complete kit) use The Allignment tool To Line up the Kit.

MAKE SHURE YOU DO THIS EXACTLY OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE NEW KIT

When You Have The pressure plate Lined up make SHURE THE NEW DISK You put with the SPRINGS FACING THE PRESSURE PLATE. After that install your berrings Exactly how it was in your car then Put some screws in To hold it And Line it up after that Tighten everyhig up and Your Done. go for A test drive And See how it feels

iam not A master mechanic but ive done it To my 93 si prelude and it Seems to be fine.
