How does media influence violence and aggressive attitudes in young people?

That's a subjective question overall, and one that has a wide array of opinions in response to it.

Generally speaking, the media does tend to report on violent acts and they do tend to show increasingly graphic images when doing so. This in turn can be directly attributed to higher ratings for the show, which further increases the propensity to be graphic.

Essentially, yes. Viewers tune in to see the violence, so that's what the media shows, which increases the viewers exposed to violence. Those exposed to violence have a tendency to become more interested in it (it is interesting after all), and they may seek out more violence to view.

It does have a cyclical affect.

Which came first or to what extent these functions of human nature build off each other is up for debate, but that they function together and lead to an increased display of violence - and that people are interested in seeing the increased displays of violence is fairly well documented.

Why is it that people want to know whether an actor is gay or not?

The biggest reason isn't really all that deep. Some people just tend to be curious about other people, especially celebrities. It isn't much different than watching all the latest news on the Kardashians, digging into if an actor is cheating on his wife, or talking endlessly on how many more kids an actress is going to adopt. It is just juicy gossip.

Some people feel that being homosexual is wrong. They want to know if supporting that actor aligns with their personal beliefs.

There are also other reasons. Sometimes people may be realizing they are gay and want to come out. When a celebrated athlete, like Tom Daley, comes out and says he is gay and happy with his life, it gives them some hope that they are not alone in what they are going through. Seeing that some celebrities that are open about their orientation, but still appreciated by their community, gives them hope that they can be too.

Even people that are already openly gay see actors and actresses coming out as a another step towards equal basic rights.

Others may want to know for completely other reasons.

Is ego good or bad?

Ego can be either good or bad. If you have an ego, than you must control it and not let it control you. You must have enough ego to have self confidence and to get noticed, but not to the point where people roll their eyes when you enter a room.

Everyone considered as sane has a sense of oneself which is considered their ego.

Is it improper for a man to give jewelry as a birthday gift to a married woman?

Absolutely improper. Unless that particular married woman was secretly dating the man that wants to give her jewelry. To not decline the gift would be leading the gift-giver to think the married woman is interested in him. If that is the case, then she should go for it, otherwise a firm 'no thank you' is called for. As a married man my wife would be p... I mean she would be mad. Besides if I gave jewelery to another women she woul mean more to me than just a friend. Unless she was family or something like that. I would say in my case that it would be innapropriate.

Which was the most embarrassing moment of your life?

I farted so Freaking loud in math class! I am so embarrassed!

***

In school I was picking up a pencil (the owner was the guy I liked) and I bent over and farted in his face! I was so freaking embarrassed! My other most embarrassing moment was when a guy was about to admit that he liked me and I yelled *WHAT* so loud that I almost cried.

***

My most embarrassing moment was when I was 10 and sliding down a water slide on my stomach. I had on a strapless swimsuit, and i was growing faster then normal, so when i got to the bottom and got up, i realized my top was down and my breasts were showing. TALK ABOUT HORRIBLE!

***

I had an embarrassing moment that was similar to the one above ^. It was when I was 14 and I was at a water park with my friend, her brothers (older) and their guy friends. I went down this one slide that was super fast and almost straight down, and I was wearing a bikini. When I got to the bottom, I stood up so that the person on the top of the slide could go only to realize that the bottom of my bikini had jammed itself up my ass and my cheeks were showing, and also my bikini top had ridden all the way up to my neck with my boobs showing! The girls were laughing at me but the boys looked embarrassed! I was absolutely mortified!

Another embarrassing moment of mine was when I was playing leap frog with my friends in grade six. I was trying to impress this boy that I liked and so I tried to leap over my friend as high as I could go. So I got my friend to almost stand up, and I leap right over her! But then I landed on the ground on my feet in goose poo and I slipped and skidded down the field and had a huge strip of goose poo all over my favorite sweater!

Also another time I was sick, and it was the point of my sickness when I get runny noses, I was talking to my crush, when he said something funny, and I laughed and this huge snot bubble burst out of my nose, and all over my face! I was so embarrassed! I ran to the bathroom immediately! I was sure he noticed though because he was staring at me really strangely for the rest of the day.

What is means by diversity of work force?

Diversity of the work force can be a superficial description that means employing a token number of minorities or it can mean a truly diverse work force of a mix of minorities that reflects the community of the workplace; male, female and a few in between; young, old, and ages in between; well educated and under educated talented, experienced people; and people with a variety of handicapping conditions. What is empirical knowledge?

Empirical knowledge come from observation only. You don't know why or have any idea of why reaction A follows situation B but you have seen it happen so many times that you KNOW that is what is going to happen.

People knew that things fell down long before there was a theory of gravitation. Such knowledge was empirical.

Empirical knowledge not only comes from observation but also by testing.

Various approaches to the study of organisational behavior?

Organizational studies, organizational behavior, and organizational approach is the systematic study and careful application of knowledge about how people - as individuals and as groups - act within organizations. Organizational Behavior Approaches Organizational behavior, as we have been showing in the previous articles, relates to the relationship between employees and the employers in an organization. Both are working towards the realization of the goals and objectives of any organization, and a close and fruitful coordination between the two is one of the major factors towards this realization. Organizational behavior approaches are a result of the research done by experts in this field. These experts studied and attempted to quantify research done about actions and reactions of employees, with regard to their work environments. It is a field that has begun developing only recently and new approaches and results are being expounded everyday, as more and more data comes to the forefront. There are various aspects of these theories, since each one deals with complex human behavior. The most important ones are the approaches about motivation. All of them are aimed towards motivating the members of the organization into optimizing their performance and thereby resulting in better and more improved performances. The more popular theories in this field are: Alderfer's approach of motivation Herzberg's approach Expectancy approach Maslow's approach In the field of Leadership, the most commonly followed theories are Houses Path-Goal approach and McGregor's approach X and approach Y. As we begin to understand the importance of leaders and their role in an organization, the study of leadership theories assumes greater importance. Selecting a good leader is possible only if you understand the qualities and the strategies that a good leader needs to adopt. Another approach that is being studied in greater depth is the communication approach. Since organizational behavior is concerned mainly with interpersonal relationships, communication or the lack of it, is being studied in great depth. Effective communication has become an influential tool in the overall running of any organization. Group theories are also an important component of any organizational behavior study. The dynamics of group behavior and of the formation and cohesiveness of any group need to be understood and implemented well, in order to achieve a harmonious working environment. It is a complex series of equations and analysis that leads to the formation of any theories, and each approach normally has many variable factors which are a part of its basis. Hence, it is important to realize that these theories are a necessary part of any study of organizational behavior, but that they are fluid and will change as new research comes up.

How do you tell an employer that you are the right person for the job?

The first step is to have a good resume. A one-page resume that has a good objectives section, skills and education listed, as well as past employment history are the first things that a hiring manager or general employer look over when considering a candidate for a job.

If the resume is attractive enough relative to the given position, then the next step is the interview. This face-to-face interaction gives the employer a wealth of knowledge about how the person presents himself, deals with on-the-spur questions, solves problems, thinks, and will most likely present himself as a representative of the company on a daily basis.

Most employers can determine best fit by: desire for the job, enthusiasm for the position, adaptability, congeniality, extensive skills for the job, and the ability/desire to learn new skills while on the job.

How should goals be categorized to prioritize them?

Example: I have to do errands, which includes some important tasks. Here is how I might prioritize, while also considering the shortest most direct routes so I don't have to backtrack.

  1. I have a shut off notice of tomorrow for my electric bill. It will be 85-degrees tomorrow and very humid so I need my electric service to remain uninterrupted. I will go to the electric company first.
  2. I need to pick up my daughter's band uniform. She needs it for tomorrow night. The dry cleaners is 4 blocks south and 2 blocks west of the electric company. The dry cleaners will be my 2nd stop.
  3. I need to go to a photographer that closes in 1 hour. But the building is 5 miles our of town and means going out of my way. But the places for my other tasks all stay open until 5 p.m. I decide I should go to the photographer next, then do my other tasks in reverse order on the way back to town.
  4. After the photographer, I stop at the mall for a sale only held today.
  5. I return shoes at the store next to the mall.
  6. A few businesses up the road, I fill the gas tank on my car. Though this is important for tomorrow, I did not need to do it first.
  7. A few doors away, the body shop writes an estimate after looking at a dent on my car.
  8. Now, I need to get to the library, north of uptown. I pick up a book I requested they hold for me.
  9. Coming back toward uptown, I pick up my daughter from school. She has early dismissal at noon.
  10. We both want to go home, but I need to stop at my parents' house. My dad needs a ride and it's on my way home.
  11. I drop my dad off at the V.F.W.
  12. I have 5 other small errands but they can be done any time during the week. My daughter needs dinner before band practice at 5 p.m. prior to the event tomorrow night. We go home and make dinner. I revise my to-do list for tomorrow, listing my remaining errands.

Do people ever drink urine?

Short answer: yes.

There are a number of reasons (note that I'm not saying they're especially good reasons, but reasons nonetheless) that someone might do this. Examples include drug use (certain drugs are passed unchanged in the urine, which makes it a two-for-one deal), lack of other viable water supplies, or "health" reasons (some people drink their own urine in the belief that it's healthy to do so... considering that it consists mainly of water plus compounds the body was actually trying to get rid of, it's hard to understand this belief, but there are people who do believe it).

What motivates you to work hard?

There are two opposed energies that drive our behaviour.

The two great human motivators are the emotional energies that we call Love and Fear. In fact, all human actions are motivated at their deepest level by one of those two emotions—fear or love.

We may be motivated by a terrorist threat (intense fear). On the other hand, we may be motivated by a strong love, like a passion.

Every human thought, and every human action, is based in either love or fear. There is no other human motivation, and all other ideas are but derivatives of these two. They are simply different versions—different twists on the same theme.

Think on this deeply and you will see that it is true. This has been called the Sponsoring Thought. It is either a thought of love or fear. This is the thought, behind the thought, behind the thought. It is the first thought. It is prime force. It is the raw energy that drives the engine of human experience.

Every action taken by human beings is based in love or fear, not simply those dealing with relationships. Decisions affecting business, industry, politics, religion, the education of our young, the social agenda of our nations, the economic goals of our society, choices involving war, peace, attack, defense, aggression, submission; determinations to covet or give away, to save or to share, to unite or to divide—every single free choice we ever undertake arises out of one of the only two possible thoughts there are: a thought of love or a thought of fear.

Why do people hate minecraft?

- Minecraft's retro graphics are lazily done, kept programmer art rather than hiring a good artist and giving minecraft it's own style. Provides various examples of games with retro graphics like minecraft that look better.

- Sound is average, nothing bad.

- Good, simple controls

- Combat is extremely simple, easy, and boring. No attack animations from enemies, weak pathfinding (example trying to walk through walls to get to you) Only thing you can do is crit, sprint, or regularly attack.

- NPC villagers are completely useless. Do not respond to attacks, do not respond to you taking down their house, do not respond to nearby mobs, do not respond to anything. So why are they even in the game if we can't do anything with them?

- Notch promised many features but failed to deliver.

- Put of adding a modding API so Notch could make more money, updates in the last few months were just stolen mods. Wolves, pistons, etc.

- Provides example of game-breaking glitch (diamond block duping).

- Not many minerals, easy to get diamond within an hour of playing.

- Abrupt and ugly biome transitions.

- Strongholds are boring and barren, treasure chests contain items that are much more easily obtained on your own or useless items. an example is cocoa beans, which make cookies but they're useless because you can just use other food items.

- Poison foods don't make sense, you can still heal even if they are "poisonous". No reason to have poisonous foods if they heal you anyway.

- Final boss is only difficult because of it's high health and it's regenerating health towers. Tedious rather than challenging.

- NO appeal in multiplayer, far more entertaining multiplayer games.

- Game loses appeal quickly.

- Any website that gives MC 10/10 should not be trusted, because there are obvious problems.

- Notch makes poll asking if people would come to minecon if it was $90, everyone says no and he ups the price to $140. What?

- People only want to play scrolls because notch made it, game is not original at all.

- Supports Yogscast criticizing Notch, from his twitter claims.

- Mojang team are hypocrites, also curse in front of children vs yogscast.

- Could have been great game, special and unique gear, NPCs you can communicate with, all sorts of directions mc could have gone. Instead it went in multiple directions in a step or two, never really committing.

- All notch's games based on previously existing games, did very little to innovate games. Yet he won an award for it.

- Notes that minecraft is 1.0, RELEASE VERSION.

- Overall, can't recommend minecraft to anyone for $30, $15, not even for $6.99 on the app store. Not even for free.

- 2.25/10 score
