Infiniti J30

Speed sensors are located on the drive train, sometimes on the wheel area around the brakes, other times on the axle.
All makes and models differ so the only advice I can offer is to get a manual for your car and read up on the procedure.
In any case is should be something a DIY can accomplish, the speed sensors are accessable from under the vehicle.

If you mean "leaded" gas (it it's even available), then the answer is no. It will damage the catalytic converter. Infiniti recommends and octane rating of at least 91. An octane rating of 87 can be used temporarily, as long as you don't accelerate abruptly and only fill the tank partially full.

The J30t has the touring alloys, a whale tail, and 4 wheel steering (Hicas system).

The fuse box is under the hood if your facing the car from the hood look to the left,

The brake rotors are warped. Someone tightened the lugnuts out of sequence. That compressed and torqued the rotors out of spec. Replace the from rotors and pads and the rear ones too, if necessary.

You can find the 1993 Infinity turn signal flasher relay unit beneath the drivers side dashboard. The turn signal flasher relay unit will be above the accelerator pedal.

The coder reader plug in is very important for the mechanics who are considered as amateur. It should be used by the mechanics who know and understand the working of the engine.

the alternator belt is the one all the way in the back. You have to loosen the power steering pump, A/C idler pulley, and then loosen the alternator.

Check the transmission fluid level. If it's full, check for any loose wires or vacuum hoses. If that's okay, then take it to the transmission shop.

very hard, i cant change mine, becaz when i started unbolting the bolts they broke off becaz of old age, and now i dont want to touch anything!!!!!!

I believe it's one of two things, either the plug is loose or you have a fuse going out.

I had this problem, it ended being a relay. it's up by the firewall on the drivers side. $60 the dealership. turns out it's kinda common problem.

I have a solution as I am experiencing the same issue. For starters it is a relay. But the relay doesn't necessarily need to be replaced. If your headlight comes on and off in a moist/humid environment this is a good way to diagnose the relay being faulty. Upon removal of the module there are about 20 circuit or so inside that can corrode so if you're a soldering geek u should have no problem reheating the existing soldered circuits or adding more solder to the corroded one. Personally, all I had to do to get my relay to fire up again the first time approached the issue was unplug, clean and replug the headlight plugs going into the relay. It gave me about a month of use until the relay finally took a dump. Good luck

I recently just had that problem on a 2000 MC SS. The service traction system light would come on on the dash only when driving in the rain at first. Eventually it came on right when you started the car. It turned out to be a bad wheel sensor used by both the traction system and ABS system. Honestly, the traction system put on that car is one of the worst ever, I don't bother using it in rain or snow. The ABS however, still needs the wheel sensor to work properly otherwise the computer will disengage the ABS system if the sensors are reading 0 or faulty, so I had it replaced. You need to replace or disassemble the hub to do it, can run about $600 or so if you take it to a mechanic to have it done.

You can't repair a belt, you need to replace it. Loosen the power steering pump first and remove that belt. Then you can loosen the AC belt at the Idler pulley.

Pull back the inner trunk liner against the tail lamps. You have to remove some nuts. Then gently work the assembly out from the back side. You may need to gently knock on the studs to work it out. Then disconnect the plugs for the lamps.

What fuse in the fuse box is for the automatic door locks in an Infinity J30?

Most of the transmission fluid is in the transmission and torque converter. The rest of it in enroute to and from the radiator. You can check the level with the dipstick located on the passenger side of the engine block toward the rear. Happy hunting. Steven

The computer. These cars transmissions really seem sensitive to warming up first. See if that helps at all. Personally, mine shifts really hard and at a low rpm sometimes. So after it warms up I either wait for a stop sign or signal, or just throw it in neutral when cruising and turn it off and back on again really quick. It always runs fine after that until the next morning. You could also invest in a transmission flush and see if that helps. It's good for the car anyway.

If your talking about the main ground wire from the battery, its located on the metal wall right to the left of the negative terminal. Just follow the wire that comes off the negative terminal back six inches to a foot and you can see where the ground wire splits off and bolts to the metal.

It's located in the fuse box, directly in front of the passenger side strut tower. You'll see a row of relays that are the same size. (four across). It is the second relay from the left.

I have a 1997 Infinity J30 and it has a timing belt. I changed it at 140,000. Yes, change it before you have big problems.
