What happened in America during 1929?
America changed in many ways with fashion and entertainment sports and then we had innovations.
Fashions changed especially for women. Most woman started wearing trousers(jeans) and wore shirts(tank tops too.). The woman of the 1920's decided to be more like men and dress more like them too. Woman wore dresses for expensive things.
Fads changed to. A fad is something that someone does and it gets around and it becomes cool. So in the 1920's people found things like speeding and doing those daring games like chicken cool. They also found smoking cool. And since women were being treated more like men they also found smoking cool. Also children had things they found cool too. They had there own little fads.
Music changed during this time for classical music and opera to jazz and the blues like music. People started going to places like bars to hear this music and stopped going to places like an opera house to hear classical music. The people of the 1920' no longer had to go to the opera house now they could hear music at a party they through if they hired some people to play.
The entertainment was different they had the radio to listen to more music and to listen to talk shows so they didn't have to go to the place that person was speaking they could listen in the comfort of there own house. They also had a piano in there house maybe or one of the kids played sports so that kid taught the whole family and they would go to the park and play.
Sports were something newish. We have sports today like crochet and tennis and baseball, we also have, swimming, kickball, soccer, ice skating is even considered a sport. Some that were new in the 1920's were things like soccer and ice skating, baseball, kickball, basketball, and hockey. People had new forms of entertainment.
Some times people refer to this exact period of time and call it "The Roaring 20's!" The reason is, because of all the new things happening during the 20's. The Roaring twenties also invented new forms of dancing. If you look at some of the pics they have from the 20's some involve people dancing.
We could go on for a while about what changed during the 1920's I just gave you a brief description though hope this helps!

Stalin's economic policies in the form of the several Five Year Plans were mostly a success since they did build up the Soviet Union's industrial strength and capacity, which was their goal. His domestic policies could be said to be a success because they were designed to keep him in control of the country and they did just that. The problem was that the means used to achieve those successes were cruel, unjust and inhumane to large segment of the population and in a civilized country they would not be utilized.

So there are still 8 communist countries.
Technically they are not communist because....
Communism is not where there's a leader/dictator. Communism is about ZERO government. The moment you add government, it's not longer communist. Countries such as North Korea are not even communistic. If you break down what they're doing piece by piece, they are NOT communist. You do get the chance to choose your future in a communist society. You do get human rights, way more than you would ever get in a capitalist society. You do get free speech, way more than you would ever get in a capitalist society. In 2000 how many members were in the United Nations?

Is Hugo chavez a good president?
Hugo Chavez is a terrible leader. Here is a list of only a few out of the MANY MANY MANY bad things he has done to f*** Venezuela.
-Rationalizing water and light: He didnt follow through, so small towns like Acarigua go through weeks without water and hours and hours without light, with all the crime
-Students: he is trying to control what students can and cannot do..he has his own university where "chavistas" can attend, but none of them get hired. in 3 years, students trying to be doctors graduate. it takes 2 years to become an engineer. is that really enough training?
-U.S.A: he talks and talks about the U.S., but does he stop selling us oil? no sir.
-Terrorism: he is in "friendly" contact with the guerrilla from colombia, was in contact with sadam Hussein, and probably osama bil laden.
-crime: it is a proven fact that he has threatened other candidates, such as Rosales in 2007..he threatened to hurt his family, and he has taken part in abductions from other politicians...
i cannot begin to explain what a bad leader this man is. did you know he tried to kill the president of Venezuela back in 1996 or around that time, went to jail, then was released and shortly became president?!!? a president that has been in jail for attempted murder...nice.
What is the order of getting a bill passed?
Well, A bill is passed by... First, a bill is introduced by either the house or the senate. Then, they have committee hearings. Next they take floor action. then if the bill is passed to the house or passed on they have more committee hearings then floor action, then it depends. If the bill is passed with amendments than it goes back to the house that passed the bill. If the bill is passed without amendments than the bill goes straight to the Governor. If the bill was passed with amendments the after the house that passed the bill had it then it goes to the Governor and if it is not vetoed than it will become a law on the first of the next year. Same with the bill that was passed with no amendments.
If this was confusing then there is diagram on a website that is more understandable.
