Disconnect the battery. Loosen the hose or tube that goes to the door where you put the gas nozzle. Unbolt the two J hooks that go to the strap holding the tank in place. Remove the wires going to the fuel level and the gas and vapor hoses.
it probably doesn't have one, a cabin air filter housing and filter was not standard on any 1999-2004 grand Cherokee model but it is sold by Jeep as a part that can be added. It mounts under the black cowling on the passenger side (cowling is where the windshield wipers are located). If a grand Cherokee has this filter installed you have to pull off the cowling trim seal under the hood on the passenger side only, pull up on the cowling to loosen the three passenger side cowling clips, you can then reach under the cowling to open the cabin air filter housing, remove the lid and then the old filter.
This is how you install the Jeep cabin air filter kit if you purchase it from Jeep, you will need to remove the factory air inlet grill under the cowling to install the cabin air filter housing.
It will bolt up, but it will not shift. 1997 is electric, 1994 is hydraulic
If it's the same as a 1999 Cherokee.......... It's under the dashboard to the left down of the steering wheel. There are about 4-6 screws that hold a small panel a 10 - 12 inches square or so. Hard to see down there. If you can get the panel off go to a auto parts place and the will.... Hopefully take it out and replace it for you. That is if it's the same as a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Hope this helps some.
If you have a regular jeep radio system in it,you can simpley use a pen to push the hour and minute buttons. These are located right under the slot for the CD or right above the eject button.
93-95 are interchangable (they are OBD-I)
96-98 OBD-II starts
99-01
02-04
05-current (AFAIK)
Some parts are interchangeable between 96-01 since most is practically switched over other than the body style and suspension components and emissions controls.
Drivetrain components other than transmissions (with some work they can) between the 93-98 years. Same goes for the 99-04 years.
Typical H4 conversion is very simple. Pull the screws around the headlight bevel and remove it. Pull the screws on the headlight pull it out, disconect the the actual light. replace with the H4 housing and light in the oposite order.
It depends on the year model and the model of Liberty. Most, came with a OE size of P225/75R16 with an optional size of P235/70R16.
The sensor is located in the tail shaft housing of the transmission (where the drive shaft attaches to the transmission). It screws into the housing and has a two wire plug on it. hope this helps
Assuming that you know nothing about your engine because of this question we'd first have to wonder if this is actually oil at all. Might be water from your AC system dripping on the ground, or transmission fluid, or antifreeze, brake fluid, or yes, maybe even oil. Out of all of those choices water from the AC evaporator pan is a good thing, the rest are not. Take this vehicle to a shop or to the dealer because you could have a serious problem that would affect the safety of you and your passengers, not to mention the health of your vehicle.
first unhuck battery!! CAREFULLY take a jack under the tank lift the jack just enough to hold it and remove the straps holding the tank.slowly lower the tank and remove the hoses and electrical plugs.pull tank out where u can see what ur doing.i think their is a large threded nut like thing holding the pump and level sensor in the tank.get the nut thing off pull it out and the rest is prity self explanitory if u all ready have the new pump to look at.(yours may be difrent, but i doubt it)and for gods sake do it out side or in a WELL ventilated space with no open flame, sparks or any other source of ignition.and don't smoke!here in the town i live in we just lost our local napa because the shop was changing a fuel punp on a van and the guy forgot to unhuck the battery befor hand. burned it to the ground
If your question is how to replace the motor, I'd go to autozone.com for the basic procedure with diagrams. If the motor has gone bad and you want to repair it, you'll find parts hard to find unless you know an electric motor repairman.
There is an adjustable push button switch for each door in door jambs, they should be adjustable for depth. push them one at a time manually with door open and all other doors closed to find the one that needs adjustment, when you get to the tight one-light should go out-then adjust.
Hi acording to the book and autozone there is none only 8cyls have em
Who knows? It's probably worth more as a parts vehicle than it is as a used car. If all you want is the worth of it in scrap metal you'll be disappointed.
Usually The Temperature Will Range Between 160-195 depending on the type of thermostat installed and assuming all fan relays etc.. are operating (You have a low fan and high fan limiter for the electric fan @ the Radiator) If you are having a problem with overheating turn on Air Condition or Defroster on some vehicles this causes the fan to work indicating high blower relay may be to blame Hope This Helps
If you just want to release the lock, there is a small door on the inside right side of the door panel. Remove the small door and stick your finger through the slit in the sound deadening material. You will feel a metal lever behind the material. Push down on the lever and the lock will release. You can now open the liftgate from outside. To access the entire mechanism: Pull the rear panel after removing any seen screws, there are two hidden in the carpet,on the lower left and right of panel.once panel is pulled back, remove sound deadening material.Reach into the center and left side facing out of latch.grab the steel rod and pull up.this should release the hatch. Sometimes the steel rod becomes completely disconnected from the latch mechanism due to breakage of the plastic fastener that normally connects the upper threaded end of the rod to the lift handle. In that case, reach down farther to the actual latch mechanism housing just above the floor of the trunk area. Find the small lever that the bottom of the steel rod normally connects to and pull up on it to release the latch.
Check to see if the oil pressure comes back up when the engine is at running speed. If so, you're seeing evidence of main and/or rod bearing wear. Change to a heavier grade oil. If you've been using an oil with a 5 in the viscosity number, change to a 10 or even a 15. The manufacturer always recommends an oil, but that is for engines that are new. Once the bearings start to wear you need the thicker oil. That's why it's available.
Check Engine ... self explanatory ... check the engine. Check fluids, air filter, water in the coolant system, oxygen sensor, bad spark plugs, electrical problems, loose nut behind the steering wheel - could be any number of things ... check everything in the engine area.
Run a compression test. When engines overheat the head(s) often warp causing the head gasket to blow. If you find low compression between any two cylinders OR if any of the sparkplugs are wet with water or coolant as you do the compression test, it's the head gasket and warped head.
BTW, that's one of the most common problems that shows up after an engine has overheated.
4.0 inline 6: 1999 and later, 1/4-20 bolts 84 inch-lbs, 5/16-18 bolts 132 inch lbs. Or inch lbs x 0.083=ft lbs thus, 1/4-20=7 ft lbs and 5/16=11 ft lbs. 5.2 and 5.9 V8 18 ft-lbs. or ft-lbs X 12= inch lbs. 4.71 V8 132 in-lbs.
It depends on the model, I guess. I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo. It's gear box has 5 settings: 2WD, Part-time 4WD, Full Time 4WD, Neutral, and 4WD Low. The forward most setting, the one where the gear handle sits flat, is 2WD. On the small diagram on the console, you will see that only the rear wheels show green if it is in 2WD. Pulling straight up on the lever while the main shift lever is in neutral will put you in part-time 4WD. If you want full-time 4WD, you must push the lever to the right from this point and pull back to find 4 Hi. For 4 low, you pull back again, then to the left, then back again.
try this.this is how it works on my 98 jgc.
hope it helps Disconnect your battery, then remove the two nuts from the starter wire harness. Pull the wire and cable of the studs. Remove starter bolts and slide starter out of bellhosing.
These vehicles only run a one-line fuel system meaning that the fuel pressure regulator is part of the fuel sender--fortunately on these vehicles they combine the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter into one assembly--which is changeable, but the fuel tank has to be lowered to be accessed--I assume the vehicle is starting hard when cold--common problem with these vehicles--if taken to a dealer mechanic, they will probably tell you replacement of the entire sending unit is necessary--which is not true--
