Tail lights-- You have to unscrew the three bolts inside the hatch, pull the tail light toward you, then turn the bulb at the top.

Third brake light-- You have to take (4) screws out of the plastic trim around the top of the hatch inside. Then remove the plastic trim and turn whichever bulb is burnt out and replace it.

I live in the Midwest and my 1995 Country now has 330,000+ miles and I have always gone with the standard 10w30 and 5w30. The main consideration is what climate you live in - then check what is the recommended weight for the temperatures you are driving in.

VERY CAREFULLY is the first answer. The part for V8s is driover side lower corner inside fan schroud. I've done cooling system work several times and always had trouble with the cheap A.. plastic drain cock. Just broke mine. Hope like hadies it can be replaced.

Since it is so high mileage I think I would just pull the pan and change the 4-6 quarts that are in the pan and replace the filter. If you go to a place that flushes transmissions, I have known that with the new fluid the lining comes off of the fiber plates.

. use atf+4 from Chrysler dealer or it destroys the clutches.

It is a ridiculous design it actually drains inside the uni-body frame rail, you will have to remove the dash to get to the hvac unit and replace the seal that seal it against the firewall from the passenger side so it will stop leaking inside the car, or you could cut a hole inside the fender well to get to it and attach a drain hose that will drain inside the fender well through the hole that you made.

I had this problem and found and answer on the internet. Find your computer, mine is next to windshield wiper water bottle. Pull off the plastic cover than unplug the leads to computer. You will see two screws back them out one turn. That is it. Some how the cover is shorting the computer because the screws are to tight, Mine is a 1996 Cherokee Limited.

Need to find the leak first. Usual place to check is at the lines. They rot out & start to leak. Make sure the trany fluid is at the proper level, start the vehicle to pressurize the system, crawl under and see where the drips are coming from

I believe all 93-98 Grand Cherokees are the same but basically you just pull and pry (gently of course) until the whole headlight pulls...well pops really...out. Then you have access to the back of it to change the bulb and it just pushes back in. It is a little tricky and i think a screwdriver works best but really be careful what your prying against because most of it is plastic and can crack. Taking this out will also give you access to the screws holding the parking/turn signal lights.

I've got a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 w/ Quadtrac & have had to replace some light bulbs in it. To get the headlight off, you have to unscrew the top screw which is in the corner closest to the fender, and then there's another screw between the headlight & the front blinker even though there's absolutely no room. I could find no way to get a screwdriver or any other took to fit in there & the repair shop had no idea how to replace it. I was told by a friend that you can get an Allen wrench in there? I ended up breaking the brackets for the bottom screws on both headlights, but you can keep the headlight staying in with just the top screw.

The reset switch for the fuel pump on a 95 Nissan Altima is in the trunk. It is located next to the rear speakers.

in the kick panel on the drivers side forward of the door there is a control box velcroed to the inside. this is the intermittent wiper control box if your wipers dont park or they wont spray windshield fluid this box is more likely the cause. a quick way to test this is to disconnect the box on both ends. then connect the two plugs together. your wipers will work in the low and high position only but they will park when shut off, also the windshield waasher fluid should spray again too. what you need to do is replace that control box, or if you think you can fix it open it up and look for the burnt solder strip on the board. I fixed mine three times this winter alone and all i used was stranded wire copper wire pieces looped around the broken solder strips

There are two of them. One under the hood on the passenger side in the fuse box. The other one is in the interior fuse box located inside near the floor on the passenger side.

usually it should take 2-3 cans depending if its empty you will know though if the bottle wont dispurse any more fluid

The VIC Stands for Vehicle Information Center, and is located Center Dash, below the radio, above the Ashtray. It has 2 buttons. This has a picture of the vehicle and shows the status of the doors, the 2wd and 4wd hi and lo, and also any sensors such as low coolant and service due and more.

Have your tires balanced.

Possibly rotate if it has not been done within the last 5000 miles.

Check tires to see if they are choppy. (This will be extremely annoying however it is not a safety issue.)

Check air pressures to see if they are correct. (Manufacture air pressures can be found within the door jam of your (most) vehicle(s).)

Torque settings are 110 ft LBS for nine of the ten bolts one bolt is 100 ft LBS /#1 Tighten all bolts in sequence 1 to 10 at 22 ft LBS #2 tighten all bolts 1 to 10 at 45 ft LBS #3 tighten all bolts 1 to 6 at 110 ft LBS #4 bolt #7 at 100 ft LBS #5 BOLT 8 TO 10 AT 110 FT LBS . HEAD TIGHTEN SEQUENCE - standing at front of car bolts down left side are 8/4/1/5/9 bolts down right side are 7/3/2/6/10. left side meaning distributor side. A four cylinder engine has ten (10) bolts. A six cylinder has fourteen (14) bolts.

I don't know about a Grand Cherokee, but in a 2005 Jeep Wrangler you turn your ignition 3 times with out turning the motor over. Turn your key to start, then off, then start, then off, then start and leave in start position, a code will be displayed in the odometer area. Maybe its the same for a Grand Cherokee.

If that doesn't work a scan tool is required.

I have a 99 JGCL and my problem was a small wire that connects near the front brakes. It was about 2 feet long if I remember correctly and was the abs sensor or something. It cost about forty dollars. If you go to Advanced Auto Parts they might diagnose it for you for free, and tell you if that is really your problem. Good Luck

There are at least eight screws that have to be removed including the two covering the brake light on top. In the bottom corners of the carpeted part of the panel are two screws that are almost unnoticeable and if you don't get them the panel will break. After making sure all the screws are out, there are posts that hold it into place. You have to basically go around the bottom of the panel and reach behind it to get these posts to pop out. It is not easy to get these out, especially if the grand Cherokee is older. Once all the screws and posts are out, it should simply fall right off.

I think so.. I put in way too much today. I know right, I'm stupid.
I started it and it ran for like 10 seconds in idle before it stalled. I tried to start it again but no luck. It does turn over though.. so that's something.
I want to know if I wrecked my car.

As with most warning lights usually the first thing is to check the fluid levels, Check Lubrication of differentials and (Transfer Case) check your owners manual for type of lube usually 90 wt gear oil in differentials most use auto transmission fluid in Transfer Case.....Hope This Helps
