How many gears does a 2004 Jeep Wrangler have?
If you have the manual transmission 5 forward and one reverse, add to that 4 wheel high, 4 wheel low, and 2 wheel low, and I guess it would all add up to 24.
But 5 forward and one reverse with a 4 position transfer case is probably what you are looking for.
What is the best way to replace the slave cylinder on an 1989 Ford F-150 4X4?
I just replaced the slave cylinder and clutch on a F150 1992 straight 6 (4.9L) 5spd. If it is the internal concentric slave cylinder, you will need to split the transmission from the engine. Take both driveshafts loose, the speedometer cable, mounting bolts to the transmission bracket, and both gear shifters, and support with floor jacks. The engine should be supported as well. There are 6 bolts around the bell housing to remove. Mine took a 5/8" wrench. You might need to remove the front fuel tank, depending on clearance. I would suggest making a couple of bolts that are the correct diameter to use as lineup pins when you put the whole system back together. When you have it split, there are two bolts w/ 10mm heads to remove and the whole thing comes out. A quick attach hydraulic coupler attaches the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder, you need a little plastic tools to push down on it, and it comes apart. Simply put it back together in reverse order.
If its an external slave cylinder, like my Dad's 1993 F250 7.3L turbo diesel, its. easy. Snap the slave cylinder off the bell housing, use a punch to drive the roll pin through, and its apart. There is a small rubber o-ring in there that will come with the new kit, do not forget to install it. The rest of the directions are with the new slave cylinder, and its a gravy job. If you've done it before, 15min will do it with a friend to help bleed the system. If its internal, sorry but it will take some time. If you're in there that far, at least replace the throwout bearing. I'd inspect the clutch as well. Mine was $150.00 at Advance Auto for the whole thing, pilot bearing, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. Getting the pilot bearing out of the crankshaft was the worst part. I ended up using a die grinder and a chisel.

How do you turn off seatbelt minder on 2007 jeep wrangler?
The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON or START position.
The manufacturer does not recommend deactivating the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert).
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle the driver's seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.
4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.
NOTE:
Although the Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning Light will continue to illuminate while the driver's seat belt remains unfastened."
How do lockers work on a 2004 jeep Rubicon?
In order to activate the axle lock you must first shift into 4L (4wd low). Once in 4L, press the switch once to lock the rear axle, a second time to also lock the front. Pressing the switch a third time will unlock the front axle but keep the rear axle locked. A fourth press will once again engage the front axle in addition to the rear axle. In this manner you can easily toggle between having only the rear axle locked and having both axles locked. This is a useful feature for off-road applications where hard pulling is required (lock both axles), interspersed with maneuverability (rear axle lock only). It is very difficult, but not impossible, to turn while the front axle is locked. Pull up on the switch to unlock axles- this can be done with either the rear or both axles locked. Notice, the instrument panel will indicate which axle(s) is/are locked. It is an air activated locker- pressing the button activates an air compressor located near the transmission (sitting on the rear edge of the skid plate, driver's side) which engages the locker of one or the other differential, locking the spider gears inside a differential together. This forces the tires of one axle to spin at the same speed. When the locker is not engaged, the wheel with least resistance will spin while the other remains still. This is not ideal for off-road applications, particularly in mud or snow.
Will a 33 tire fit on a stock 08 Jeep Wrangler?
NO A RUBICON WITH 1.5" FACTORY LIFT WILL ACCEPT 32" TIRES AND THAT IS THE BIGGEST STOCK. I believe you are thinking of a TJ Wrangler 1997-2006 which requires at least 3" of lift to runn 33s on the trail without rubbing. A JK 2007-Present Can fit 33s stock with little rubbing and the JK Rubicon comes from the factory with 32" BFG KM2s Sources- Owned and have been around Jeeps all my lift and currently own 2005 Rubicon 4" lift and 33s, 83 CJ7 awaiting Restoration, and 78 CJ5 building up
How do you change the spark plugs in a 2001 Jeep Wrangler?
After taking off the intake tube, remove the 4 14mm bolts from the coil pack (long black item on the passenger's side just below the valve cover.) You don't need to disconnect the wiring harness connector (in the rear, next to the firewall) from the coil pack but you may. With both hands grab the coil pack and pull up. Your done! make sure that your new plugs are gapped at .034" (verify, never trust them out of the box) and with a small dab of anti-sieze on the threads, install new plugs. I have always used Champion's 4412 Truck Plugs. Just a personal preference. When installing, run the plugs down and tighten 1/4 turn after the plug touches the head's surface. Too much and you'll be hating life later. Reinstall the coil pack in reverse order and your done.
In my case (4.0 L ) the 4 bolts for the were 13mm for the coil pack. The sticker under my engine hood (back near the drivers door) recommended a gap of .035. I used the Champion OEM 438 or RC12ECC plugs that are recommended by Jeep.

How do you remove the clutch fan on a 2006 Rubicon?
Steady the pulley by using wrenches on the nuts of the pulley then use a big wrench to loosen the hexagonal shaft from the pulley When apart you will see the hexagonal shaft threads onto about a 3/4" diameter shaft. I usually unbolt the fan shroud without removing it just so it can be moved around for better clearance. Once the fan and clutch assembly has been removed they can then be separated to replace the clutch. Be careful not to damage any of the fins on the radiator while doing so.
NOTE: While fan clutches do fail on Jeeps, some of the time they don't need to be replaced. It is especially common (since people with Jeeps look for puddles) for muddy water to be splashed up on the radiator and the evaporate leaving mud between the fins.
1st: Spend a few minutes with the garden hose spraying from both sides of the radiator before considering part replacement.
2nd: With the engine cold and off spin the fan by hand to judge the resistance. Then when the engine is hot turn it off then immediately check the fan by spinning it by hand. If the fan is much harder to spin by hand when the engine is hot then the fan clutch is working properly, if it the same or barely more resistance then it is time for a new fan clutch.
While the car is parked, the oil in the engine will drain into the oil pan. When the car is started, it is the oil pump's job to feed oil throughout the system. What you describe may be the tappets knocking for lack of oil at startup (word of caution: DO NOT rev the engine). You might want to change the oil and oil filter to see if that will stop the problem, otherwise the oil pump may need replacement.
Use a small torx bit and unscrew the keeper screw. Sometimes Allen wrenches can be used in torx just be careful not to strip out the head of the screw.
