It's not actually blue but there is a slight tinge. You know, like the Blue Mountains in Australia, they're not actually blue but you know what I mean. Oh, the blueness isn't because of Eucalyptus oil, it's not related to Eucalyptus at all. It's kind of blue because of the unique chlorophyll.

The Proclamation applied only in ten states that were still in rebellion in 1863, thus it did not cover the nearly 500,000 slaves in the slave-holding border states (Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland or Delaware) which were Union states - those slaves were freed by separate state and federal actions.

Abraham Lincoln, was born in Hardin County near Hodgenville , Kentucky on Feb. 12, 1809. He was the only president to date that was born in KY.

A slave state.

A unicameral congress is a legislature consisting of one body, group, or "house", as opposed to a bicameral congress, which has two (and a tricameral congress would have three).

The city of Owensboro (the third largest city in the state of Kentucky) has a population of approximately 55,745 (NOTE: this is the city population only).

The question was, how should slaves be counted for the purpose of Congressional representation? The South wanted to count all slaves as "population", because this would increase the number of Representatives from the slave states. The northern states didn't want to include slaves AT ALL; if they weren't fully citizens and couldn't vote, why should they be counted for purposes of representation?

The "three fifths" compromise gave southern states some additional Congressional representation, without giving the South an overwhelming advantage.

Mainly, citizens (and residents) of Qatar do not have poverty as they all are employed with good source of income. Government and other nonprofit agencies make continuous donations to citizens and those who have established residence in the country. With population of approximately 2 million, and GDP (Per Capita $) of 102,768.69, poverty is barely unknown in this (filthy) wealthy country of Qatar. However, there is a high rate of abuse and discrimination against foreigners including lack of labor laws which should enforce employers to abide by any given laws as far as creating safe and healthy working environment, and paying the workers as promised. The government itself does not ensure its people to be free from danger and disease by neglecting these (Southeast) Asian immigrant workers and does not listen to their complains and/or problems.

Discrimination and abuse is known among Gulf Countries (United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar) against foreigners and non-national population. There is no human rights in these countries, at least not equally.

As the richest country in the world, it is unfortunate to see failure in Qatari government's part to establish Welfare and healthcare system to its people. Even though Qatar nationals have access to better opportunities compared to their counterparts, residents and foreigners, the government could not establish a fair-system that treats everyone the same.

There is no poverty in Qatar, but there is a great deal of abuse and non humanitarian rights.

It only "freed" slaves in territories the US no longer controlled. In other words, it freed no slaves, but instead served as a moral impetus for the North's flagging war effort.

If Lincoln had indeed free slaves in Kentucky, or any of the border states, the threat of further secession would have potentially damaged the Union beyond repair. These states still had sizable slave holdings, so Lincoln had to approach the issue with kid gloves. He was against slavery as an institution, but his desire to preserve the Union trumped all else.

It took the 13th Amendment to the Constitution after the war to officially end slavery in Kentucky and all the other states which had remained loyal.

Nullification

He was known as the Great Compromiser for his work in the US Senate. He also ran for President and served as Secretary State in the J. Q. Adams administration.

He was a political enemy of Andrew Jackson.

Kentucky became a state on 1 June 1792. Technically Kentucky is NOT a state, it is actually a commonwealth state...

The U.S. Congress accepted Kentucky's constitution and admitted it as the 15th state on June 1, 1792.
