You can recharge your 2003 Kia air conditioning system through the low pressure port. Connect your Freon bottle to the low pressure port. Release the Freon into the system.

I am a master certified Kia tech. I believe the exclamation point inside the lines(which are supposed to be a tire symbol) is a low tire pressure warning indicator. Check all tire pressures, as a drop of just 10% will set the lamp off. It will take up to 5 minutes with the car running for the lamp to shut off after filling tires. Hope this helps.

There are fasteners located out of sight...look inside the door pulls, remove window winders and dooe latches. Use a flat and flexible putty knife and work it around the edges of the door to find the friction clips and apply pressure to force them out of the door metal. Be careful id yoou have speakers in the doors...wires are in there.

it might be referring to the fact that the cost of a car is not only that of the car itself, but also car expenses. For example: preventive maintenance (oil changes, fluid level maintenance, etc.), repairs, cost of fuel, insurance, registration, etc.

Inside the trunk on either side of the car are entry panels to the taillights. Remove the cover and unscrew the bolts that hold the taillight onto the back of the car body. Remove the taillight assembly and replace bulb(s).

Try replace fuel filter and the air filter easy to do and cheap...

Also...If this doesn't work, and or you have replaced virtually every component on the motor (O2 Sensors, Coil Packs ect) IT IS THE WUSSY GROUND WIRE COMING FROM THE MOTOR TO THE FRAME OF THE CAR!!! This is what plagued My 02 Rio for the last year+ and when I took off the wire, it was all crunchy and SUPER under-rated for its size...it should be at least a 6 gauge wire instead of the factory installed 10 gauge. Go to hardware store and get yourself 1.5 ft, with crimp on COPPER ends, make your own and reinstall. After this super easy, and stupid fix...this car is now running better, starting easier, more power (like kia's have power to begin with)...and it cost me about $7 with the wire and connectors to fix. The ECU upgrade doesn't work I've heard...and people have left their kia's at dealerships for months at a time to no avail. I truly believe this simple wire is the root of most all stalling and drivability issues and it sad to see that in all other sites no one has tried this yet. so GOOD LUCK!

It could also be the Throttle Position Sensor if your car idles high then stalls upon startup.

5/30 OIL FOR A VERY COLD CLIMATE. 5/30-40 FOR HOT CLIMATES. OR JUST USE SYNTHETIC OIL. IS GOOD FOR ANY WEATHER

the rear speakers are located in the roof portion of the trunk (exposed), and the front speakers are in the door panels, so you should have easy access to both, after that just match the size of the speakers you are replacing and wire them accordingly.

(Rio owner input) -- I'm pretty sure no one will have any trouble identifying where the clearly visible, plastic speaker grids are as mentioned above, and they're likely to be already intending to wire them correctly.

The problem is: there are no simple, 4 screws or obvious way to get inside a front speaker. There's only one screw anywhere near it, and nothing budges when it's removed. Unfortunately, unlike straightforward, older designs, this door panel seems as though it's going to have to be largely dismantled just to get to the speaker cavity/mount. There are no instructions in the car's manual for this.

We have to assume the Kia is a new car in more ways than one. If it was mine I would change every 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. But check the owner's manual also. It may have other ideas.

There are other car parts which are compatible with a 2001 KIA Rio. However, most of them are KIA parts for the 2002 to 2010 models.Ê

ok the answer i found didnt help much so I'm going to try to explain: It is actually more to the passenger side of the radiator just below the manifold angled upward. If you have a flashlight you can see it more from the driver side of the radiator looking under a tin cover. Very hot spot and you are gonna have to remove a skid plate in order to remove this BUT it is not that hard to do. Just a little time consuming. Good luck.

You can access the oil filter from under the hood to replace it. Just reach down between the rad and engine with an oil-filter wrench in hand, slip it over the filter and loosen it then unscrew by hand. It is in the center of the engine on the side. Much easier to feel for than to see. Make sure the engine is not too hot.

yes you idiot every brake system use's brake fluid except air brakes and since air brakes are mostly only on big trucks you don't have them.... honestly if you need to ask if your car use's brake fluid you really shouldn't be doing anything to a car to even ask the question... take a shop class, please it would help you a lot.....

The knock sensor is located on the back of the engine, if you reach over the top to the backside you can feel it. it is attached be two screws and you will have to undo the plug at one end. Takes about 10 min to do it. Helps to h ave someone under the car to see it from the back side and you (on top) can pull the plug and rout the new one.

Incorrect. There is one bolt going through the center of the sensor, which can be accessed from below with the oil filter removed. It is NOT possible to access the sensor from the top without removing the intake manifold, a very difficult task . Lift the rear tailgate and look at the light. There should be one or two bolt heads visible. Take these out and the whole lens assembly should come out and the plug for the light exposed. This plug is a 1/4 turn and will come out allowing you to change the bulb. Just reverse the above directions to reinstall. Hope this helps.

You can change your spark plugs by locating the old ones and removing them. You can insert the new ones by locating the spark plug hole and then threading them in. It is easier if you use a socket wrench to install them.
