Do you really need special tools to change front wheel bearing on KIA Rio 2002 as it is said in car manual?

A fork tool is helpful in releasing the ball joints. The bearings are pressed in the hub. so you need a press to separate the parts and put it back together. A shop will do the pressing for you at good savings if you take the hub off the car. Call around to make arrangements.

How do you replace the tail light bulb on a Saturn ion?

How to replace tail lights on S-series ---- This how-to covers replacement of brake lights, rear turn signals, and reverse lights on the S-series. I did this on a 3rd gen SL2, but the instructions are probably applicable to most models and years.

You will need the following:

* A T-15 Torx screwdriver

This is a quick operation. I was able to do it in five minutes in a parking lot.

First, find out which light(s) are burned out. The easiest way is to have a helper hit the brakes/turn signal/reverse while you stand behind the car. If you can't find a helper, you can just park so your car's rear-end faces the side of a shiny car, and you should be able to see which lights are coming on in the rear view mirror.

Next, go to the auto parts store and get the proper bulbs. I used Sylvania Long Life bulbs. Don't bother with OEM bulbs, they're needlessly expensive. You can also pick up special grease to coat the bulb socket if you like (it's sold in a little packet at the counter of most auto parts stores).

Pop your trunk, and you'll see two Torx screws on the side of the tail light assembly. Use your T-15 screwdriver on these.

The tail light assembly should easily slide out at this point. You'll see four connectors: a wiring harness, reverse light, turn signal, and brake light. Disconnect the proper connector, and you'll see the burned-out bulb. Give it a yank, and it will pop right out.

Coat the new bulb's base with dielectric grease (optional), and insert the new bulb. It will go in with a satisfying snap.

Slide the tail light assembly into the body of the car, and screw the two Torx screws back in.

You probably got a 2-pack of bulbs, so go ahead and replace the same bulb on the other side of the car! It will most likely burn out soon anyway.

How do you remove a headlight on a Kia Optima?

answer

  • Open the hood of your Optima. Use the support rod to hold the hood up out of your way. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery with a wrench, and secure the cable away from the terminal.

  • Remove the three retaining bolts from the headlight assembly using a socket and ratchet. The 2007 Kia Optima headlight assembly is secured with two bolts in front of the assembly near the grille area and one bolt just inside the engine compartment on the outer edge.

  • Pull the headlight assembly forward and disconnect the wiring harness from the rear of the light. Press down on the retaining clip and pull out to remove the wiring harness from your Optima's headlight.

  • Pull the headlight assembly free of the front of the car. Insert the new headlight assembly and push the wiring harness straight into the connector.

  • Replace the mounting bolts and tighten them securely with a socket and ratchet. Repeat the process on the opposite side of the car if necessary.

  • Reconnect the negative battery cable and tighten the connection with a wrench. Close the hood and test the lights to be sure they are working properly.

What would cause a vibration when sitting at a stop light in a 2002 Kia Rio?

Where does it feel like the vibration is coming from? Engine? IS it in the steering wheel? Do you feel it in the seat of your pants? Your question is too general to provide you with any kind of info. Try to isolate where you think the vibration is coming from, rear of car like a loose exhaust pipe or maybe right under where you sit or is it in the front. Put the car in neutral and see if the vibration stops, if it does, that means it is coming from the tranmission. Rev the engine with the tranny in neutral, does the vibration go away or does it get worse? Get as much info and repost with your info and maybe we can help you.

In my experience , my villager would not shift from park to anything. Found a T20 or T25 torx screw under dash by steering column to be really loose on shifter linkage. Works great now!
