Positive to battery or fuse, light to dimmer switch (if used) Negative to negative on cars ignition coil.
It is mounted on the (front side) ECM behind the center dash console (radio, a/c controls, etc) close to the floor in the passenger compartment
The cigarette lighter fuse on a 2001 Kia Sephia is replaced by opening the fuse box door and pulling the fuse out using a puller tool. A new fuse is pushed into position by applying even force.
This is a little tricky if you don't know how to do it. The crank is actually on piece of plastic molded. It is held onto the shaft by a keeper that snaps onto the back part of the handle. It is a little trick to get off with standard tools but a flat head screw driver usually work.
Push the plastic door panel back away from the crank you should be able to see the keeper snapped over the plastic part of the crank that goes onto the shaft. The keeper is sort of a circular spring with an opening. Find and flat head screw driver that will part the opening in the spring far enough to slide it off. The crank handle pulls straight off.
2 recalls to date, one deals with owners manual peinted wrong with jump starting the car, the other is with the sensor connectors must have a clip adsded to all connectors for intermittent connectivity problems. the only other thing is replace fuel pump and main engine relays in pairs , not a tech bulletin about it but just about everyone knows about this for 1995 thru 2002 sportages.
to replace auto trans - rebuild approx $2500-3000 cdn dollars at independent
try borrowing an OBDII scanner from your local autozone or advance auto(theyll usually test free of charge if they have a test unit) im not sure if the tranny codes can be retrieved using OBDII but if the scanner has the proper module installed with tranny codes it should pull them from the trans computer also
Yes, a 1995 Kia Sephia does have a TCM (trans control module) it's mounted behind the dash between the drivers and passengers leg area. Where the ashtray should be.... Also there is T.S.B.'s on certain modules if you replace the transmission make sure you have the updated TCM installed. If not your transmission will fail.
I really hate to be the one to tell you the bad news but it is possible that you have bent some valves. Take the spark plugs out of the missing cylinders and run a compression check on those two.
well depending on what you mean, if you have no heat at all your thermostat could be stuck, the water pump fins missing, or you have a blockage somewhere try getting it flushed something unplugged doesn not make sense unless you blower motor in unplugged , be a little more specific please
I found this on a kia forums for a 99 kia

You may want to consider replacing both left and right at the same time in order to keep brightness and color equal (optional).
Go to Kia Canada a ad for Kia's will come up, across the top of the page it shows - Kia Owners roll across that and a drop down screen comes up, click on Owners Manual, type in your VIN# hit enter and the owners manual comes up.
There is a little white pin in your shifter that could possibly be broken. That happened to my car, sometimes it was hard to shift out of park. That's because the pin wears down and it won't let your key out of the ignition, because the car is not fully in park.
Right off it sounds like a component gets too warm and fails, but works cold. Is the engine getting fuel when warm? Does it have spark when warm? Knowing the answers to those questions as well as make, model, year and engine size would help to answer your question.
I had a similar problem with a 1987 Chevy Celebrity. I replaced the ignition module and the crankshaft sensor and it runs fine now.
here comes the bubble buster,,, YOU DONT
My experience is that the solenoid on the starter motor gets stuck and does not move, connecting the started motor to the gear.
Just hit the solenoid body with a mallet or with a hammer with a piece of wood in beteen to avoid damaging the solenoid.
There are no "bad" words, only those that are polite and those that may offend.
If you use curse words in public or in company, it is considered rude. Also, if you use a lot of curse words, it shows that you do not have a very good vocabulary to be able to describe things without cursing -- in other words, you look foolish or uncouth.
