call AutoZone and price the pump. deduct that from 300.00 and you have the labor cost. Dived that by 35.00 and you have the number of HOURS it atkes to pull all the stuff off to get to the water pump just to replace it and put it all back on. Yes, $300.00 is likely a good ballpark figure.

after you remove the axle nut in the middle (a 32mm socket) if the cv axle doesn't come right out, then you need to spray it with wd 40 or liquid wrench...etc. you then need to rent a large jaw pulley. ask your local auto parts house( autozone, advance auto) , they will know what you are talking about. there are spline groves that have probably rusted together. take off the rotor and attach the puller to the middle of the cv axle rod sticking through. turn the pulley until it breaks free. it will probably be stubborn so you may need a cheater bar on the end of your rachet. hope this helps.

i had the same problem. there is no cigarette lighter fuse. check your fuses in the fusebox (find it in the owners manual). if none are busted then buy a new cigarette lighter inside part (10 bucks), take it to a cheap shop (10-15 bucks) and its done.

First you will need to remove the upper timing belt cover, water pump belt and pulley, ac, and charging belts. You will need to have car off the ground, and front passenger wheel removed. Remove inner wheel plastic housing, and front lower plastic cowling. Remove crank pulley and and timing belt cover plate. Remove lower timing belt cover. (By removing the bolts that clamp the small steel tubes, you can deflect the piping far enough to remove crank pulley.) Loosen the tensioner bolt, it is the small pulley in the center left and let it relax. you can now remove the belt. Facing the engine, line up the intake cam shaft pully so the I (stamped on the pulley) is in line with the small arrow on the valve cover, right above the intake cam pulley. Line the E of the exhaust cam with it's respective arrow. They will not line up directly, you will pull them into position with the new belt and tensioner setting later. Now on the crankshaft, rotate it until the small notch on the back of the pulley lines up with the arrow at the top. you can't miss it. Install the new belt and rotate engine by hand in a clockwise rotation two revolutions and verify alignment is still correct. If your belt broke while running, understand that this is an interference engine, and there is a good possibility that you did damage to valves. I would change the belt and hope for the best. To open a stuck door on a 2000 Kia Sephia, remove the door panel and check the latch mechanism. It is likely to be bent. Better to replace the latch mechanism.

You should first check your fuse panel and see if any of the fuses are out. Also it may be a loose cable going into your transmission.. this would require dealer or auto repair person.

Apply parking brake. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature. Turn OFF all electrical loads. Connect timing light to number one spark plug wire. NOTE: A rubber inspection plug has been provided in the plastic coil cover (center of the cylinder head cover) directly over the number one (1) spark plug wire. Remove the inspection plug and connect the inductive pick-up of your tachometer or timing light to the number one (1) spark plug wire. If your tachometer/timing light inductive pick-up is too large, the coil cover will have to be removed. Verify that ignition timing marks on crankshaft pulley and timing mark on timing belt cover are aligned. Ignition Timing: BTDC 8

You cant fix them. You either have to get one from the dealer ($60) or from a junk yard ($20). Mine went out two months ago and my passenger side is about to go as well.

The Blower Resistor is on the Passenger side of the car. Look under the glovebox to the right. There is a cap for the blower held on by 3(?) Screws. Pull this off. You will see wires going to the Resistor. Two screws hold in the blower resistor. One posibility to check would be the timing belt. If it broke while driving your car will stall and will not start again. If it was the timing belt you may have a more costly repair bill then just the belt.

my first suggestion for you which i will be doing my self tommorrow on my 96 sephia is to pull up no 1 cyl,check to see your marks are lined up on the crank shaft pulley. then check your marks on the camshafts they will be lined up with either the surface of the head parelel or with a mark on the head. and personally i mark all gear/belt train with a punch mark or in this case a white paint pen before dissasembly

YOU START OUT BY LOOSENING THE ALTERNATOR IT HAS A TENION SCREW IN END A BOLT ON FRONT OF THE TENSION BOLT THE A BOLT ON THE BACK AND ABOLT ON FRONT NEAR THE EENGINE THE ALT. IS READY HAVE BELT REMOVED ANDREPLACED THEN JUST TIGHTEN EVERY TTHING BACK UP ON THAT SIDE. THEN MOVE TO THE POWER STEERING BELT IT WILL BE A LITTLE MORE HARD BUT NOT BAD SUGGESTING CUT THE POWER STEERING BELT OFF THAT WILL MAKE IT EASIER TO FIND THE 5 BOLTS YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOSEN YOU WILL HAVE 2 ON THE TENSION JUST LIKE THE ALT. THEN ONE BEHIND THE PULLEY AND 2 BELOW THE PUMP BELOW THE PULLEY ONCE YOU HAVE THOSE LOOSE YOU CAN PUT THE BELT ON AND TIGHTEN EVERY THING BACK UP. TOOLS YOU WILL ASET OF SOCKETS 6 POINT WITH EXTESION A SET OF 45 DEGREE WRECHES 6 POINT.

The transmission dip stick is located right next to the airfilter box... It has a yellow top and about 1/2 tube...

I believe this is a non adjustable clutch system, which means its a hydralic system, no adjustments. Either a slave cylinder down on the transmission itself or on firewall next to brake master cylinder there's a reservoir for the clutch. If its empty then you have a leak somewhere, try to fill it with brake fluid and pump clutch pedal several times to get clutch back and look for leaks
