How do you set the garage door opener on a 2007 Lexus ES350?
Steps:
- For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink® buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink® indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink® buttons.)
- Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink® surface (located on your visor), keeping the HomeLink® indicator light in view.
- Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink® button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink® indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)
Note: Some garage door openers may require you to replace step 3 with the "cycling" procedure noted in the "View Canadian Instructions" section.

- If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink® button is pressed and released.

A second person may make the following steps quicker and easier. Please use a ladder or other device. Do not stand on your vehicle to perform the next steps.
- At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the "learn" or "smart" button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the garage door opener's manual or contact us.
- Press and release the "learn" or "smart" button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
- Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink® button for two seconds and release. Repeat the "press/hold/release" sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.
Retain the original hand-held transmitter of the RF device you are programming for use in other vehicles, as well as for future HomeLink®

There are two license plate bulbs on the 2000 Sonata. They are housed individually. The housing itself releases easily enough. Grip the housing with your thumb and fore finger, thumb on the right hand side of the housing, squeeze the clip under the thumb and pull down the housing. It does not come out very far. The cables are taped to the bumber of the car, you may need to reach up behind the bumper and find the tape and cut it, taking care not to cut the wires. Once you have released the cables, the housing should come out sufficiently for you to grip the bulb connecter. Holding it, turn the housing clockwise about 45 degrees and pull it off the bulb connector. It is all very stiff and difficlut to access, but it is possible, I have replaced one and it does work.

Actually, I had the exact same problem and there was a Lexus in the vacinity both times. However, there was a second intervening event. I had inadvertenly left my driver side window open in the rain (a half inch) and the door/window controls got wet. My mechanic had never heard of a car that had the ability to close all windows/moon roof when locking the doors so he thought it was the BRAIN of the car. (Wrong) I bought a 25$ car cover and the problem disappeared for a year. Then I was in my parking lot at work and it happened one more time. (After it had rained the night before.) But there was also a Lexus in the area (however both of these cars are in the area everyday and the only other thing was the damness on the driver side window buttons.) I think they just got shorted out when wet and started working fine when they dried and the Lexus' in the area was a coincidence. GOOD LUCK!!!!

In the rear cargo area, lift the handle to reveal the tire jack, etc. You will see a rectangular access panel on the right hand side sort of facing the driver seat. Remove the panel, and inside you will see a DVD slot. Above it is a tab that needs to be slid toward the left which opens the DVD door and ejects the disc. I believe the car needs to be in ACC or ON to do this. Then you slip in the new DVD and you are good to go.
