Use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the trim surrounding the radio unit. The trim has clips holding it in place, but can easily be pried loose. Once the trim is removed, use a phillps head srewdriver to remove the 4 mounting screws holding the stereo unit in place.

Follow the upper rad hose to the engine and there will be a housing there with the thernostat in it. Be sure when reinstalling it the spring goes toward the engine. If you install it backward it will overheat in about 3 minutes. If your engine is overheating, generally the thermostat isn't the problem. It is the cooling fans not operating properly.

The answer above is actually wrong for the 1993 Lexus ES300. You actually follow the lower hose up to the water pump where there is a housing for the thermostat. To remove this you will first, want to take the front right tire off then the dust guard for it; the thermostat housing should now be viseable. Then you will want to take the plastic windshield washer, and engine coolant reserviors off to make the job easier. Next take the bottom rad. hose off the water pump(where it goes to, from the radiator). then struggle for awhile with taking the three nuts that hold the thermostat housing together (a wobbler bit on a socket wrench can make this job easier). Once these are off you can unplug electric plug on top of the housing, pull that part of the housing off and there the thermostat sits in all of its evasive gloriousness waitng for you to rip it from its mother and throw it away.

The 2001 the Lexus ES 300 emergency fuel shut off switch is located in the fuse box. The fuse box can be found in the engine compartment. The emergency fuel shut off switch will be on the right hand side of the fuse box.

Wheels removed..........remove the 2 bolts holding the caliper to the steering knuckle...........remove the pads! Using a c clamp or similar, press the piston back into the caliper. install new pads, and reinstall caliper. Be sure to pump the brake pedal before test driving.

I recently had to replace the trunk light in my '97 ES300.

If you just need the bulb, it's NOT replacement #194 that Walmart, Advanced Auto and others list.

You need a 12V, 3 Watt bulb that looks like a fuse. I finally had to buy mine from our local Lexus dealer.

Pop open the light cover with a screwdriver and carefully pull out the bulb.

Try this first because it's probably only the bulb that is bad.

The starter is located at the front right of the engine. It is located between the engine and battery. You can trace the thin cable that runs from the battery to the back of the starter to locate it.

There is an Off/On switch on the dash facing straight down towards the floor. It is near the steering wheel and you need to be almost lying on the floor facing up to see it.

Unfortunately, the 2002 es300 was the first year that Lexus did not use a IACV in the ES300.

You have to drain the radiator then remove the two bolts on the top flange of the top hose and under that is the thermostat. See how it is installed so you put the replacement one in correctly.

disconnect battery negative clamp. on top of alt is a wire held on with a 10mm nut

remove this by turning counter clock wise. then unplug other wire, there is a 14mm bolt

on the side of alt . loosen . under alt is a 12mm loosen 3-4 turns then you will need to

rotate adjuster bolt witch faces radiator until belt is loose. then remove 14 and 12

and lift alt out.

The 2012 Lexus ES-350 has 42.2 in. of front leg room.

On The 1995 Lexus ES300. There is a plastic clip you must remove where the handle is located. Pop the clip using a flathead screwdriver, it should come out easy but just be careful. Next there is another screw on the panel covered by a plastic circular hiding the screw. Remove that, and the screw located underneathe that. Next there is two clips on the side of the panel where it meets the car when it closes. After those are removed, the rest are clips inside the panel. there are about 3 I think inside the panel on the bottom, start from the bottom wiggling the panel, soon enough it will come out. after all that is done and the panel is moving freely, you lift up the panel as the rest is cliped along the top where the window comes up. it's usually best to remove the tweeter cover so you have more room to work with. Hope this helps.

On my 99-ES 300,there is a small screw under the vinyl strip on top of the grill.

remove the screw and gently use screwdriver to prey against the bracket.

The whole assemble comes out quite easily.

The 2007 Lexus ES-350 is a gas-powered vehicle.

I am trying to replace my cartidge fuse in a 1992 Lexus ES300. The Lexus dealership told me I had to take the battery out and take apart the fuse box to get to the cartrdge fuse. The reason for taking the battery out is to make more room to work with and safety. It is hard to get in there beause the space is so small. You have to un-bolt the cartidge fuse and then put in and rebolt the new one. But there are wires connected to it (which I guess will not be connected once you unbolt it.) I am having trouble, so if any body knows anything....let me know!

You need to have a mechanic service your car. The flashing light means the compressor is not engaging.

replace upper radiator hose and install a new thermostat. see what happens. or turn it on without the thermostat for a while and see if it still overheats.
