How do you get the console off and fix a CD changer where the magazine that holds the CDs is stuck on a 1998 Lincoln Continental?

I answered my own question. I started unscrewing things to get the CD changer out of the console. Once it was free I took the outside case off of the CD changer so I could see the guts. I manually moved things around when I noticed there was a penny in the bottom of the changer. I removed the penny, pressed the re;ease button and the magazine popped up. Now, I could still hear my motor working but the CD's not being released. If you don't hear your motor in the CD changer running when you press the release button you may have a different problem. From what I understand, change getting caught in the CD changer is a very common problem. I needed a screwdriver shaped liked a star to remove a lot of the screws. Again it may be different on a Windstar. Good Luck. I hope this hepled.

Where is the thermostat in a 2000 Lincoln continental v8?

near the alternator up front of the engine it really always help to look at the new part before you install helps to locate it. from the driver's side at the bottom of the radiator the hose runs across to the passenger side of the car. it turns up into a housing with a secondary smaller hose coming out the side of the housing. if you remove the 2 bolts holding this housing together you will find the thermostat inside with an O ring seal that has to be replaced in the right position when you reinstall the new thermostat.

No one knows, its written on the transmission dip stick I read somewhere that 98 and newer had V which is synthetic but Pre have ATF because mercon does not exist, but it needs Mercon M what ever that correlates too which is nothing, so the answer is a crap shoot, V probably works fine, but the transmission sucks so i wonder if thats why they started using synthetic you can tell by smell I used V and it Smells awful like dead fish, what ever is inside did not smell like V. SO i do not recomend V anyway good luck if you find out let me know because no one knows.

What does it mean when my instrument cluster goes crazy on your 1991 Lincoln Continental?

If the car has not since died from dead battery, it is most likely the voltage regulator. The first time this happened to me it was the battery just before it quit. On many cars the alternator may also be the culprit. In most cases you should replace both at the same time. Also check your belts for wear while you're at it.
