As one example, the best time to take care of any potential or perceived problems with the replacement engine and related components is before you begin installing it.
Are the oil seals showing signs of leakage? The crankshaft rear main seal is easy to replace now-much tougher to do later. Ditto for the clutch assembly and flywheel, if so equipped. If you're fortunate, there may be some serviceable components that came attached to the replacement engine. If they're in better condition than the old components, use them; and save the money that would have been spent on new ones.

Because society is 65% white. We as African Americans are only 12-15% of the population. So, to be a successful entertainer one has to entertain whites. The greats do not change who they are (Richard Pryor, Dave chappelle, etc.) . They make whites laugh at them and make them famous. whites do this so that they do not wake up the rest of us. In short, to be famous you must make white people like you, or hate you enough to pay you a lot of money to be quiet. And the few who do not sell out are looked at as trouble makers and they (whites) use their numbers and influence to keep this person not heard. An example is how positive and influential rappers like Mos Def, or Talib Kweli are never heard on the radio or seen on MTV, yet any rapper who wants to speak down on his race, and degrade our women, and mislead or kids having them think that they aren't important unless they got money to toss around gets played day and night. Need I remind you that most are the same rappers who before they were there were making records about the struggle and life. So, they give them lots of money and say, "Now puton this pink shirt and say how you hate your own people." And they take the money not knowing that they just sold their souls, some know and don't care....That is why it so hard for an African American to become successful, unless they play a sport.

I just found out his former girlfriend is still alive. Her name is Beatrice Bazarian who lives in California. She is almost 90. I found info on her at ancestry.com. Her maiden name was Caragulian. I don't know if anyone ever tried to interview her or seek her out, don't know if she declined. She probably doesn't want to be identified or want to known as being associated with Malcolm X.

Beatrice Bazarian passed away last year. Her brother Leon and sister Joyce Berberian are both still living in Watertown, MA, where the Caragulian siblings were born. Beatrice's daughter Candy Feliz lives in California, and has three children and four grandchildren. Now that Bea is gone, it would be interesting if any of her surviving family members -- like her sister Joyce, who was part of Malcolm's "gang" -- can share any details about her years as Malcolm's girlfriend.
