What is the difference between free and fixed axles?

a free axle is both tires are independent. one could be in the hole, and the car is still stable. this is what is used today and is the best kind of axle to have.

fixed axles are both wheels are slanted at the same time, so the car will slant with the hole. these can be found on older trucks.

How do you glue bx cable to steel beam?

You don't glue BX cable to steel. If it has to go on a beam, you usually hold it on with plastic 'tie wraps'.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Wire ties are not recommended for mounting armored bx cables to steel beams. Wire ties are normally used for bundling wires together to keep them neat, though some glue on cabinet tabs are made to mount wires inside control cabinets. These are not meant for external wire mounting.

Cast aluminum clamps are made that hold the bx cable to the beam. a hole must be drilled in the beam to mount the clamps with screws, OR specially made mounting clamps (similar to c-clamps can be mounted to the edge of the beam, then the clamps mounted to those. It is recommended there be no less than one clamp every 6 feet (~2 meters).

What is automatic car parking system?

I'm not sure what it is called but some cars have a computerized system that will parallel park your car without you touching the steering wheel. It may only be in the developmental phase and not actually installed on any cars, yet.

Tensile strength of 1050 steel when tempered at 400 degrees then quenched?

I'm not sure if your referring to 400C or 400F.

But, according to Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design, 8th edition by Budynas and Nisbett.

The tensile strength of 1050 steel quenched and tempered at 400F (205C) is 1120 MPa (163 kpsi).

The tensile strength of 1050 steel quenched and tempered at 425C (800F) is 1090 MPa (158 kpsi).

What is the best material for v notch sheets installed in water treatment plant?

Something that doesn't oxidize or corrode very easy. Depending on how strong you need it to be, probably T6-6016 Aluminum. Look up the material properties on Matweb and check if the properties are what you need, because it depends on how much stresses will occur in the specific environment.

If you are an engineer, I wouldn't be using this site to figure that out, that's why you went to school.

What are pipe standarts?

The standards tell the different wall thicknesses schedule 40 is standard then schedule 80 extra heavy and schedule 120 for very high pressure applications.Copper goes by Type K,L ,M M being the lightest
