Every women is different. I miscarried at 5 weeks and it took me 4 weeks for my numbers to get down to 0. Normally between 4-8 weeks. I have heard some women take up to 10 weeks.

I disagree, I have been given around 5-8(don't remember exactly how many) birth control pills from a heath nurse from my school, as a cheaper form of the morning after pill. The only thing is, if you vomit within around 2 hours after taking them it wont be affected.

It is possible that if you had preg symptoms and now they have gone that you have miscarried. This is usually the case, but it is possible that you are still pregnant. There are quite a few pregnancies (more than you would expect) that are twins and one twin dies. The second baby is carried to full term with no problems. If you are carrying twins you will have worse pregnancy symptoms. It is possible that as the one dies, some of your symptoms seem to disappear as the body settles to a singular pregnancy. Any miscarriage must have bleeding to rid the body of the pregnancy - did you have something like a period? It would probably look like a heavy period at 5 weeks. Cramping is usual, but not always. You are best to go to the doctor and have an ultrasound. They will have a look and tell you if the baby is still there. If the baby has gone, and you haven't bled, you will probably need a D&C. This will scrape out the remains of the pregnancy. If this is not done it is possible that the body will continue to "support" the pregnancy when there is no baby. Yes, that is possible that you have miscarried, but it could just mean that your body is handling (or you may be adjusting) to pregnancy symptoms. But five weeks is a little early to lose pregnant symptoms. If you are early enough along, your body will dispose of the fertilized egg and you will probably never know. Good luck to you.

Birth defects up to and including death has been found in cases of incomplete miscarriage. Defects include head (bone) and facial defects, damage to nerves in the head and face, and defects of arms and legs.

Retained products of conception. (incomplete abortion) would require a d&c, due to the risk of infection and hemorrhage. Either can cause maternal death.

When used as a drug to soften the cervix, severe pain and bleeding leading to shock, blood flow impairment to the baby caused by uterine contractions that are extremely prolonged can lead to hemorrhage or death aka a major adverse effect.

A woman having a miscarriage has three options. No in most cases you will lose the baby but some woman do experience this and the pregnancy is still continuing but i have found in all the times i have had clotty bleeding when pregnant the pregnancy has been lost

I have also had bleeding with my pregnancy and it has stayed there till full term but this particular bleeding never had clots

Some woman also have a period all through ther epregnancy and have also had clotting

You should contact your doctor for any bleeding during a pregnancy.

An ultrasound at 6 weeks should show a fetal heartbeat, if there was a fetal heartbeat you're not miscarrying..

It is very difficult to say. Most bleeding during pregnancy is classified as a threatened miscarriage but 50 percent of the time, results in a full term pregnancy. ANY bleeding during pregnancy needs to be investigated by a medical personal...a doctor or the A&E department as soon as it begins.

As a woman facing that same unknown herself, the only advice that I can give is just to be honest. Try your best to not frighten him by drawing it out, just sit him down and explain that you have to share something painful with him.

That's what I plan to do when I get home. I'm going to sit him down and tell him that I need his help to be strong, that I am scared and hurt, and that I had a miscarriage.

Keeping it a secret isn't an option, he will know that something is bothering you because you just can't hide a hurt like that.
