If you were around 4 weeks pregnant when you had a miscarriage should you go to the doctor even though a small sac already came out but you're still bleeding?

As long as the bleeding and/or cramps are no worse than a bad period you should be all right. Of course if you are at all worried goto the doctor or emergency department.

If you have a chemical pregnancy will you always get a positive pregnancy test before it happens?

Not necessarily. The HCG has to be high enough to be read by a HPT. Most of them will not read until you have a level of 25 HCG (some WILL read at 20). It is for this reason, that the experts recommend you do not perform a HPT until after you miss your period as the majority of chemical pregnancies will end within a couple of days of your normal period.

If you miscarry at 4 weeks pregnant how long until your hcg level is zero?

Every women is different. I miscarried at 5 weeks and it took me 4 weeks for my numbers to get down to 0. Normally between 4-8 weeks. I have heard some women take up to 10 weeks.

What will happen if you take multiple birth control directly after intercourse?

Nothing. You wont be more protected of that is what you think.

I disagree, I have been given around 5-8(don't remember exactly how many) birth control pills from a heath nurse from my school, as a cheaper form of the morning after pill. The only thing is, if you vomit within around 2 hours after taking them it wont be affected.

How can you tell if you've had a miscarriage and does a loss of pregnancy symptoms as early as week 5 mean you are not pregnant anymore?

It is possible that if you had preg symptoms and now they have gone that you have miscarried. This is usually the case, but it is possible that you are still pregnant. There are quite a few pregnancies (more than you would expect) that are twins and one twin dies. The second baby is carried to full term with no problems. If you are carrying twins you will have worse pregnancy symptoms. It is possible that as the one dies, some of your symptoms seem to disappear as the body settles to a singular pregnancy. Any miscarriage must have bleeding to rid the body of the pregnancy - did you have something like a period? It would probably look like a heavy period at 5 weeks. Cramping is usual, but not always. You are best to go to the doctor and have an ultrasound. They will have a look and tell you if the baby is still there. If the baby has gone, and you haven't bled, you will probably need a D&C. This will scrape out the remains of the pregnancy. If this is not done it is possible that the body will continue to "support" the pregnancy when there is no baby. Yes, that is possible that you have miscarried, but it could just mean that your body is handling (or you may be adjusting) to pregnancy symptoms. But five weeks is a little early to lose pregnant symptoms. If you are early enough along, your body will dispose of the fertilized egg and you will probably never know. Good luck to you.

I am 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant with very slight brown spotting-2nd pregnancy-had a baby in November'07-What should I do No cramping?

Contact your doctor. If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor if you are too concerned.

What could cause you to feel heavy all over?

In general, the feeling of heaviness is brought on by having muscle weakness. Depending on whatever is going on, inflammation of muscle tissue is quite possible. Other than that, possibly lack of glucose in the muscle tissue storage.

How many weeks after miscarriage can you still get a positive pregnancy test and bleed for?

Do you take Cytotec after you have ALREADY started bleeding?

From all the information available you might want to check with a pharmacist before using Cytotec in pregnancy or miscarriage.

Cyotec
is not an approved drug for use by pregnant women either to cause a miscarriage or to assist in an incomplete miscarriage.

There are multiple cases of uterine rupture following the use of Cyotec both to help induce labor in a term pregnancy and in women using the drug to induce a miscarriage (abortion) caused by hyperstimulation of the uterus.

When used to induce an abortion the results are often incomplete which can and does cause birth defects.

(Taken from the Boxed Warnings-reworded due to copyright infringement.)

Birth defects up to and including death has been found in cases of incomplete miscarriage. Defects include head (bone) and facial defects, damage to nerves in the head and face, and defects of arms and legs.

Retained products of conception. (incomplete abortion) would require a d&c, due to the risk of infection and hemorrhage. Either can cause maternal death.

When used as a drug to soften the cervix, severe pain and bleeding leading to shock, blood flow impairment to the baby caused by uterine contractions that are extremely prolonged can lead to hemorrhage or death aka a major adverse effect.

If you have a miscarriage can you just leave it alone?

A woman having a miscarriage has three options. She can wait and see if the pregnancy passes completely on its own, she can have a dilation and curettage to remove the pregnancy, or she can take the same medications used for medication abortion to pass the pregnancy. Many women will pass a miscarriage without any medication or procedure. If a woman chooses that option, she should see her health care provider weekly to make sure that the pregnancy passes completely and that there is no infection.

Are you having a miscarriage if you are 2 months pregnant and you get a brownish discharge and now you are spotting?

It is very difficult to say. Most bleeding during pregnancy is classified as a threatened miscarriage but 50 percent of the time, results in a full term pregnancy. ANY bleeding during pregnancy needs to be investigated by a medical personal...a doctor or the A&E department as soon as it begins.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Thomas Flyer plant workers my grandfather worked on the Thomas Flyer Race Car and wonder if anyone has or knows how might access the information?

We produced the film on the race www.thegreatestautorace.com . We built the Thomas Flyer and German Protos as full scale running replicas for the film. We also discovered almost 2000 original photos, many never before scene...and many of them are in the film. The cars and photos live at the Reynolds Museum in Alberta now.

Contact Harold Coker of Coker Tire Company in Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Coker owns 7 or 8 of the remaining 12 Thomas Flyers known to be in existence. If there are any photos, Mr. Coker would know. He is retired, but is very active with his collection.

I believe our film noted above used two interior shots of the workers. I believe I have one other group shot of the Thomas plant in Buffalo. Send me a note from our website and I'll see if I can dig it up for you. Cheers.

How do you tell your husband you had your second miscarriage?

As a woman facing that same unknown herself, the only advice that I can give is just to be honest. Try your best to not frighten him by drawing it out, just sit him down and explain that you have to share something painful with him.

That's what I plan to do when I get home. I'm going to sit him down and tell him that I need his help to be strong, that I am scared and hurt, and that I had a miscarriage.

Keeping it a secret isn't an option, he will know that something is bothering you because you just can't hide a hurt like that.

Keep your chin up, you're not alone. Keep it that way by not alienating him and you'll be fine.
