Moses is not traditionally remembered as a warrior, but rather as a prophet and leader of the Israelites. His story in the Bible focuses on his role in leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and receiving the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai. While Moses displayed courage and strength in his leadership, he is not depicted as a warrior in the same way as figures like Joshua or David.

The Luisena Indians lived in the southern coastal region of California. They were divided into villages with clearly defined lands. Their homes were conical in shape and made from poles placed in a circle and then leaned together near the top. Then the structure was covered in bark or branches and then covered in dirt. Sometimes a family would build a small tunnel-like entrance to their home. The flooring was dug out a few inches below the ground level and a fire pit placed in the center. However, cooking was generally done outside unless it was rainy or too cold.

go to your nearest pow wow and get your self an Indian taco and whach the grass dance
*******
The grass dance is a very traditional dance used by the Plains tribes primarily. It is also amazing to watch and takes many years to perfect. Years ago, grass dancers would be sent into the area where a nomadic tribe was going to set up camp. In the spirit of never hurting the earth mother, their responsibility was to lay the tall grasses down in such a way as to bend them, not break them. Thus the land could be left as untouched as possible once the tribe moved on. It was a very spiritual dance and difficult to learn. It is also one of the most amazing, but not flashy, dances to watch.
The effects range from slavery to a diversified new world.

The short answer is: as long as mankind has been around, shamanism has been with him.
Shamanism is a spiritual practice in which a Shaman oversees the spiritual and physical well being of a tribe, village or group of people (families and individuals), often undertaking and or leading such things as dream/vision quests, hunting and war dances and rituals, initiation rituals, rites of passage and healing rituals.
As long as mankind has been self-aware, we have had someone or sometimes several people in our groups who through observation, and trial & error have garnered information about the plants, minerals, animal products and there properties and uses.
The accumulation of this information, and the repeated uses developed into the first healing. Add to that, it is a known fact that if the patient is engaged and included in the cure, things work better (the power of the human mind is still largely untapped and not fully understood), so a few words and gestures were added to the healing, eventually evolving into standardised rituals.
As more information was gathered and rituals became things of power, it became important to the groups that they have someone trained in their rituals. Hence Shamans became valued and revered members of the community.
I would say over the sea's we Native do not label our self's as shamans I would say ask a Wicca..
