Check to see how much fluid is in your transmission.

Your dashboard lights will dim because less electricity is available to power the dash lights. A vehicle only has a finite supply of electricity at any given time. Any electrical device that is on reduces the overall electricity available to run other electrical components. The drop in available currrent is not noticable with most electrical components, but can be quite noticable with lights, especially if you have a weak alternator. I wouldn't worry about it if the dimming is minor, but if you are concerned about your alternator, go to Autozone or O'reilly auto parts. They do free alternator and battery checks.

It means engine cylinder #3 is not firing properly. That is the spark plug is not igniting properly due to various reasons. It could be a bad spark plug, bad wire, or something in the valve train. Have it looked at by a certified mechanic.

You have to remove the Vibration Damper first, then you will have clear access to the Crank sensor. Make sure when you reinstall it, the wires don't get caught in the Damper assembly and you have clearance where the sensor mounts. Easy fix.

Clicking means metal on metal and no oil in between. Check your oil, oil and filter changed?

I have a 1988 4door It is located on drivers side just in front of rear wheel on the frame rail. Hint!! After i found it, I sprayed with wd-40 for a few days to help with removal.

Ask the 17 year old boy that called to say it died! I don't know if that transmission will allow it but if you were doing about 90mph and jammed it into 1st gear that might do it.

Check the fluid level. Also, take off the back wheels and tap the drums with a hammer to break them loose. Spray out the drums with brake cleaner and then reinstall them if all looks well. I had the same problem and that took care of it.

Bust your knuckles with the use of a mirror to see the plugs and a magnet to pick them up when they drop under the engine block!

Pk, to answer the question on how to put/ or replace a door handle :

First do Not take the door off the car. Only remove the interior door panel. Do not forget the screws that hold that strap you use to pull the door closed, if you do not remove these screws it will not come off. Use a flat head screw driver to pull the plastic tabs all around the edge of the panel (these may need to be replaced.) Once you have the interior panel removed, you will see that your handle is factory fastened. Use a electric drill with a (slightly bigger Than the center of the factory fasteners) drill bit. Use the flat head screw driver to pry them off after you have run the drill bit through. Once you remove the old handle put the new one on in the same manor that you removed the old one, except you will put screws in place of the factory fasteners. And Guys you may need to roll the window down, BUT please roll the window back up Right After you take it off. I don't want you to run that drill through the window! :) Oh and careful when removing those window connectors After you have the door panel nearly off, if you want disconnect the battery to prevent anything. (( this job is pretty easy so try it))

A loose or broken impeller will make a rattling noise from within the water pump. Another way to check is to remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Watch the coolant through the filler neck (DO NOT STAND TOO CLOSE). When the engine reaches normal operating temperature and the thermostat opens, you should see the coolant circulating inside the radiator. While you're at it, make sure the radiator fan comes on - if it doesn't, then the problem may very well be a bad relay or fan motor instead of the water pump.

you have a sensor problem.

I replaced the Power fuse/relay located under the steering wheel dash. Its a gray canister and only costs $3.00. That seemed to repair the windshield wiper and powerlockes and powerseat. The resone that the ruse/relay went out in the first place was because the power seat switches were touching the frame of the chair. All i did to fix that was to use electrical tape on the frame and around the switch assembly.

loosen the motor mount on the right side lift the motor a little to get the belt thru drop it back down tighten it up and thread the belt on the pulleys via diagram

there is a place for the jack on the sub frame. it looks like a thin lip of metal that runs all the way down the sub frame. look for where it gets thicker and put your jack stand under it, but get it as close to the front of the car as you can.

This Idle Air Control (IAC) is located just under the throttle body housing. If you open the hood and are looking directly down at the engine, you'll see it on the right side. It's round,, about 3 inches long, and has a four-pronged electrical plug on the end. It will usually be held on by two screws, Phillips or torx. Hope this helps.

their maybe a fuse that is blownn, and there should be a relay that would control the fuel pump. I'm not sure where the relay is at though. A couple things to check anyway.

check the computer module UNDER the coil.

Based on my experience and conversations with other it varies widely. As low as 8 mpg in town for a poorly maintained engine. For a well maintained and highway optimized engine and carburetor 22 mpg is not unheard of. I had a 1972 convertible that the regularly got 18 mpg highway.

At the end of your air cleaner tube is a square box with 4 screws and a plug in. This is your mapp sensor

It pops out of the dash by prying it out of the dash. Just use a flathead crewdriver and pry at the edges of the unit. All connectors are snap off, just look for the locks and unlock the security tabs to pull off connectors.
