Also, you can put a fuel pressure tester on the injector fuel rail - there is a connector that looks like an air pressure valve.

Turn on the key and the pump should run. Pressure s/b typically arount 36 - 45 lbs. The motor will run with pressure down to about 28 - 30 lbs although maybe not very well.

Below about 24 lbs it will simply not run at all.

Sometimes when a pump goes it quits entirely, and sometimes it just gets tired but doesn't stop completely.

The blower resistor is UNDER the maxifuse center on the engine firewall. The maxifuse center needs to be removed with 2 bolts and the resistor is in the top of the blower heater assembly held in place with 4 screws. Difficult to get to but can be done.

Need to replace the water pump.

The diagram is on page 6-61 of the owner's manual. Please note that it does not tell you that a motor mount must be disconnected to install a new belt.

try changing plugs and wires then move to coils. if not there it could be and o2 sensor.

Sounds good to me if it ain`t got the star wars computer in it, it may well be the starter. Just for the life of tings usually with no computer you "bang on the starter" to free up the computer inside the starter. You bang on it while your buddy cranks on her, good luck. darn computers!

I have a 1991 Olds ninety eight equipped with "autolevelling" rear struts that are inflated with an onboard air compressor after each drive because the struts lose air slightly as you drive. So what you may be hearing is this compressor instead of the blower fan if your car has this option. The compressor is fairly loud and can easily be mistaken for a blower fan. It can mean trouble though, if it stays on for any longer than thirty seconds to a minute. I did not know it, but my struts were blown so the compressor would turn on after each drive and run for 30 minutes, which will eventually burn it out, if this is the case unplug the compressor immediately. So if your compressor is running longer than normal, your rear struts are likely done for.

Directly behind the engine off the top of the manifold exhaust pipe leading to the cat. converter. Look behind the engine and you will see it there.

It is located by the harmonic balancer right next to it to remove it you must take the hb off to properly take it off...

You have to find out what's wrong with it first If the odometer is working then the speedometer "head" needs repair. This requires some disassembly to get the speedometer out of the dash. If the odometer is not working it is most likely the inner cable to the transmission. Take the cable loose from the transmission and remove the gear. Check the gear for broken teeth and a worn out square hole where the cable fits into it. Try to pull the inner cable out by hand or a little help with pliers. If it is broken it will come out. There is a clamped end and stop ring at the speedometer end that will keep that end of the cable in the sheath. There is a possibility that the clamp has come loose at that end also. It would help to remove both ends so you can turn the cable at one end and have someone check the other end for turning also. An inner cable can be replaced. Sometimes a sheath that old will have rust damage and need replacement also. Put some speedometer cable lubricant on the cable while you are working on it and if you replace it.

pull off all trim pieces around border of headliner, remove sun visors and all interior courtesy lights. After removing assist handles and coat hanger supports there are 6 velcro patches that hold the headliner in place, 2 at the windshield, 2 toward the center of the panel and 2 at the rear window. Once the headliner has dropped down and after reclining front seats gently rotate board out the passenger side front door being careful to not bend this board too much thus insuring the board is in good shape to receive new material. Many fabric stores sell headliner material in an asst. of colors and this can be adhered to the old board using Loctite spray adhesive or a substitute. To remove the board and to get it back in the car it is best for 2 people to handle this job therefore insuring that you are less likely to damage it.

You may want to check your air filter, and also see if anything is clogging up the intake ducting

Check the ignition coils. When they go bad the engine runs rough and you lose power.

The light is built into the bumper on that car. Just above the plate.

press the oil button then press the reset button hold for five seconds it will reset oil life monitor back to 100%

Sounds like the ignition module located under thecoil pack is breaking down from heat.
