My period has been going on for about 2 weeks and it's heavy and dark red what does that mean?
either u have miscarried or its a sign u have post overan syndrom

This is all dependent upon your age. If you are premenopausal meaning that you are in your childbearing years, this is NOT normal unless you are breastfeeding in which case it would not be unusual to miss your period for this length of time. Regardless, you need to see your family physician who can run some simple laboratory studies (blood work) or perhaps he/she would refer you to an endocrinologist who is more specialized in this field and from there determine whether or not there is actually a problem. If you are nearing the age of menopause which is different for each woman, not menstruating for this prolonged period of time would not be an unusual occurrence.
How long does break through bleeding last?
On hormonal birth control you no longer ovulate so you no longer menstruate, instead you get a withdrawal bleed caused by the drop in hormones as a result of going from active to inactive pills. Your withdrawal bleed will only last as long as your placebo pills at most, so that's just one week.
When you first start the pill it is normal to see irregular bleeding so for the first three months you may bleed longer.
Is it possible to bleed heavily with clots and not lose the baby?
Of course if you are pregnant and still having heavy periods it's always best to discuss this with your doctor. I am not positive on this, but I believe it's still possible you can have the baby. We/our bodies are all a little different - some women have a couple periods after becoming pregnant, some have periods the entire time, while some have spotting. I read somewhere that women who still have periods while pregnant have a 50% chance of losing the baby. I also read that most miscarriages occur within the first trimester. So, unfortunately, if it was me I would not get my hopes up if the pregnancy is early on, and still having periods (just in case of a miscarriage). If you or a friend is experiencing this, I urge you/them to bring this up with a doctor ASAP so they can see what's happening and discuss it with you/your friend.
you should have a blood test done to confirm if you are pregnant-- it can anything--maybe stress or pms..good luck You may be pregnant or simply of experienced a lighter than usual period for you. Do a pregnancy test in 7 days time.

See what she thinks, without getting angry. Be serious and thoughtful, but not pushy. Listen to her carefully and think about what she says. If you pay attention you could learn something from her about your relationship...

How old r u? If your friend is over then don't do that and if you are under age and not married then you shouldn't do it at all and maybe you are pregnant but that is the price you pay for "being active"
Small drop of blood is nothing to worry about. Its possibly hormonal or pregnancy related. Pregnancy tests will remain positive for over 5 days after the pregnancy has ended. Sometimes upto 2 weeks.
Black blood clots do not relate to whether or not you are pregnant. You should see a doctor if the clots are bad. In general, if you are on your period/ losing blood, you are not pregnant. The smell and color mean you may have an infection It may also be an viral STI (as opposed to just bacterial).
I think so. But have you had any symptoms? Morning Sickness, Crazy Tastebuds, etc.? I would take a different brand of the pregnancy tests. I'd get birth control just for safety if I were you.

I have to hope that you have been to the doctor because it's most important to have your first visit within the first trimester. If the egg is not fertilised, the body also needs to get rid of this built-up lining. So, once the egg has been released, and not fertilised it will start to break down and the remains leave the uterus through the cervix and out of the vagina. As the lining of the uterus starts to break down and detach, blood vessels are ruptured and this is where the blood comes from.
hi mines just like that I came on late it just maybe lighter that's all. yeah mines proper light I've heard that some people can get spotting or implantations bleeding which is lighter than a normal period you get it in early pregnancy. Its hard to notice if your period looks different mine just is pretty light yeah with three medium round dots or circles should I say. I'm not been getting period pains just I've had period pains for the past 3 weeks yeah and now I come on. I only get the pains on the first day but now its the 2nd day and I'm not getting any but sticky period which is light. It took me 5 weeks 2 days just to come on. Now I'm getting confused about spotting and Implantation bleeding. The symptoms I got for the past 2 weeks were eating loads more, sleeping more than usual, headaches, feeling sick, pains, back ache, bloating, light headed, nearly fainting, dizziness and all that. Just I didn't get morning sickness.
If its coming and going yours then it could be spotting which is a early pregnancy sign go to the doctors and ask for a blood test and ask him why this is happening

I had a very similar experience and ended up having a miscarriage. My period was about 2 weeks late and I had that brown discharge along with cramps for about 2 weeks before I took a test. A week later I went to the hospital and found out I miscarried. I was approx. 5-6 weeks along. If you don't want to risk a miscarriage get to the doctor NOW!
