If they used chemicals to remove the bees, the honey is going to be contaminated with them and should not be eaten.
If they used physical means to remove the bees and hive, then place the comb in a large pan, mash the comb up to insure that all the cells are open and GENTLY heat it up, slowly.
The wax will melt. Cool the whole pan down and you should be able to lift out a single block of bee's wax. Strain the honey to remove the rest of the sediment and enjoy.

Can you die from consuming d-CON rat poison?
In theory you can, but in actual fact the chemical brodifacoum (the active ingredient in rodent poisons such as d-CON) very rarely causes human casualties.
For one thing, the poison is a slow-acting anticoagulant, giving accidental victims plenty of time to receive treatment. For another, its lethality is determined by the size and weight of the victim: even a small child is much larger and heavier than a large rat. Also as it is an anticoagulant even a true "lethal dose" is unlikely to be fatal unless a physical injury causing bleeding also happens.
Lastly, brodifacoum can be easily countered by administering large doses of Vitamin K1, which offsets its effects allowing blood clotting to return to normal fairly rapidly. In an absolute worst-case scenario, an emergency blood transfusion may be called for.
So, other than by deliberate poisoning, you should have almost nothing to worry about. (That doesn't mean, however, that you should be careless about placing and handling traps. Always treat poisons, even the mildest ones, with the respect and caution they deserve.)

== == * I think what you are seeing is what we here call "boatmen." Once in a while, I find one or two in my pool, and I scoop them up and kill them. And they also bite and are tricky swimmers. I've noticed that if I'm low on my chlorine, they're around. In which case, I add more immediately. They actually live around ponds, etc., but I have a large body of water in the back yard. == == * These are water boatmen; they do bite, and yes, they can fly. Adding a non-foaming algaecide to your pool will get rid of them. They create an air bubble around themselves to breathe under water; the algaecide takes the oxygen out of the water (which is how it kills off algae) so that they cannot create the air bubble. If they can't breathe under water, they will leave! == == * If they bite they are most likely back swimmers, which look like boatmen but swim on their back. Bug out will kill them, unless you have a pebble-tec pool, I can't find anything that works.
