Where is low pressure switch on Pontiac grand prix?
Depends on which motor you have? V6 Next to the oil fiter above the starter. Quad 4- back of the head .
It ticks because the oil has not pressurized the lifters and taken the slack out of the valve system. Try a heavier oil grade and more frequent oil changes. Lucas oil stabilizer is excellent for this also, the oil will be less apt to flow down to the pan from inside the lifters between starts.
Where is the windshield wiper control module on a 2000 Pontiac grand prix?
beneath the driver's side wiper arm. you must remove both wiper arms and the black cowl underneath. What issue are you having with it?
It could be the key if the security or anti-theft light is flashing.
If it is flashing than either the key is not sending a signal or the lock cylinder PK3 receiver is not receiving a signal.
I had this problem, the weather stripping had come loose. Try removing the water deflector (underneath the wipers). If the weather stripping is loose, put it back into place with some black epoxy.

That's easy. Check your power steering fluid. Its probably low and you have a leak somewhere. My 2002 did the same thing. Turned out to be a hose leaking.

How do you replace freeze plug on 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix?
if it's accesible take a hammer and punch to the outer edge of the plug and tap inward. this should roll the opposite side out towards you so you can get hold of to remove. If no room to tap the new one in they make one that can be put in the hole and tighten the nut on it to expand the rubber plug that fits tightly in the hole
How do you change the plug wires on a 1996 3.4 v6 grand prix?
The safest way is to buy a new set of wires first then, working one at a time, remove one wire at a time then replace it with the new wire that most closely matches it's length. You will need to tilt the engine forward to reach the back wires. To do so remove the big crossbolts holding the top engine supports at the engine. Each has a secondary mounting hole on its underside. Use them to hold the engine forward by using the original bolts to align them to the engine mounts. Use a 2x4 or crowbar to tilt the engine forward into position.

-turn the bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it from assembly
-pull the old bulb from the socket and replace it with a new one

What prevents a 98 grand prix not to rise to operating temp?
If the thermostat is broken and stuck open, the engine temp will not rise very fast.
Hope this helps

It sounds like the 99 Grand Prix has slippage in the reverse band, or a stopped fluid path. Changing the transmission fluid and filter could help, if not then the transmission needs to be checked by a transmission since the band is inside of it.
First off why would you consider it. You should know by certain websites that the engine was done up by Mclaren Engineering. That means that its already set up for performance. By slapping a bigger Turbo in and tuning the chip a little you should be able to get around 300 HP, why would you want anymore out of a FWD vehicle

What does it mean when the low trac light comes on in a Pontiac grand am?
This happened to me when my Throttle Position Sensor went out. The trac light came on and the transmission started shifting roughly. The sensor costs about $30 at Autozone and is very easy to replace. Problem solved.
Answerit means the car has low traction, such as spinning on gravel, or in wet grass.I also had this problem with the light on constantly after I had new tires put on. My brother, a mechanic for 20+ years, told me that if the tires were just a slight bit out of round, it may cause this problem. It resolved itself in about 10 days.
i just had this problem and i had to replace the pcm 540$ later seems to be running fine
