No !!! at least 06 and before, I recommend using Shell gasoline. In my region it is a few cents more than the competetors, but I get about 25 mpg city with Shell v-power 93 oct, on the base model, though it is not suggested to use premium fuel on the base engine, I find the 93 oct fuel helps quiet engine operation, (the higher the octane the less chance of spark knock, especially with a high reving motor like the Toyota 1.8!) If you can't stand to pay the extra 20 or so per gallon, I recommend at least use 89 oct. With others, BP(Amoco), Mobil, Marathon, I only was able to get 21 or 22 (tops) MPG (City) personally I do not recommend Speedway and Clark, they may be cheaper but the quality is sub-par.

Probably not. My 2009 Vibe won't run it and since the 2010 was the last year model, I doubt seriously that any major modifications were made to the Vibe. I believe all GM vehicles that run E85 have a yellow gas cap, and an E85 sticker on the inside of the gas door (and a FlexFuel decal on the car somewhere?).

You have to crawl under the steering wheel and look under the dash board. There is a small black box that can be seen with the assistance of a flash light. The cover of the small box comes off, exposing the fuses. Now the trick is not finding it, but actually taking the fuses out to replace them. I spent over an hour trying to remove one without any luck. The placement of the box and the tight fuses do not make it easy to remove them, I think this is definitely done on purpose so you have to drive into the service department to get this done. I am about to just go into the dealership and paying them $100.00 to replace it. It is definitely worth it.

yes you do the oil filter is a canister style filter and it is pretty much only one tool that fits it properly you should be able to buy it online or through the Toyota dealership. but yes it uses a special tool. if you don't use the tool you could cross thread or possibly strip the corners.

The plastic cover (P-R-N-D-2-L) can be carefully pried out .....giving access to the bulb. You will need needle nose pliers to pull the old bulb out.

Small red flashing light near the radio console? That would be the anti=theft system...or fake car alarm signal. I have it on the 2005, and my mom has it on her 2007.

My 2003 Vibe has a split rear seat and each of these seats has 2 bolts at the front of the cushion. Simply unscrew these 4 bolts and lift up at the front of cushion. Needed this to clean out garbage which lodges under seat.

Assuming you're asking about the serpentine belt, you cannot adjust the tension. If the belt is too loose it's either because it needs to be replaced or the belt tensioner needs to be replaced.

The front wheel bearings, of a Pontiac vibe, can be replaced by first removing the front wheel. Next, remove the axle end cap. Remove the bearing and reverse the process to install the new bearing.

The Pontiac Vibe GT with the (1.8L 4cyl ) requires Premium Unleaded. The use of Regular Unleadedmay lead to predetonation or what is commonly called pinging. Although you may not be able to hear it, itmay be there. The Vibe's fuel/air managment system may be able to adjust for the regular fuel somewhat but at a cost of mileage and power. The engine requires Premium fuel, so burn Premium fuel. Burn Regular Unleaded and you risk engine damage.

I put dunlops on my wifes vibe. She loves them. We have just put them on for the fourth year , and she has a 45 min. ride to work daily.

On '03-04 Vibe with automatic trans (not sure about other years and manuals), it is on the topside of the transmission. When looking down under the hood look down the backside of the engine (firewall side). The VSS sits near the edge/corner of the transmission slightly off center to the drivers side of the car. It kind of stands on its own. Its the only thing with a wire harness in that area.

Have you tried to allow the belt to fully retract? The belt is designed to 'engage' the locking mechanism when fully extended -- you'll hear a 'click' when it reaches the end of it's reach. This is all so you can use the belt to secure in a child seat without using any extra clips and such. Pull the belt all the way out, hear the click, route it 'round and through the proper channels of the seat, pull it tight, and the mechanism will keep the belt tight and from losening, holding the seat secure. To release the lock, allow the belt to fully retract.

there should be wire at the base of the seat belt that you can unplug. WHY WOULD U WANT TO REMOVE THAT DO U WANT TO DIE

The -E-ngine -C-ontrol -M-odule, or ECM recorded the vehicle mileage along with the odometer. The EMC mileage can be read by a scan tool at most dealerships or repair shops with the proper equipment. It is possible for the two mileages to differ slightly, but a large variance may indicate a faulty odometer, or possibly odometer tampering.

Toyota T-IV type automatic transmission fluid as stated in the owners manual.

Mobile 1 makes a compatible fluid: Mobile ATF 3309

Do not use any fluid that does not meet T-IV requirements.
