And sort them by CPU (clicking on the header of the column with that name, 3rd. col.) and see what process that belongs to the browser (i.e.: Chrome, Firefox, IEXPLORE, etc.) has the highest usage, if you got zeroes at the top, click once again in the header, now you'll see a hog guy, that's the one is causing you the problem!

6th. Before you kill him, TURN ON the speakers! and then click on that fat guy (highlight it) and kill him by pressing the 'End Process" button at the bottom of the window. You'll notice that the audio ad is gone!

7th. If it isn't gone, probably is the next one (but I doubt it, I've done this quite a few times and always has been the hugest one, but who knows).

NOTE: If this doesn't work, probably you have a video ad open and WITH SOUND in some internet window. You can find it by scrolling up & down in the internet windows.
