The easiest, least stressful way to stop lactating is by reducing the number of breast feeds you do each day - slowly. If they baby currently takes all their feedings at the breast - substitute one feeding for a bottle during the day. Wait a couple days as your production slows down, then drop a second feeding, repeat until baby is taking all their feeds by bottle (or cup if over 1 year old).

Doing this over the course of one to two weeks will make an easy transition for mom and baby.

If slowly stopping isn't an option and you have been nursing full time - you are probably going to face some discomfort for a few days. Use warm showers, warm or cool compresses as needed and a snug bra to help ease engorgement.

If your breasts become very swollen, stand in the shower with warm water pouring down and express some of the milk out by hand.

Some pregnancy tests say that they can let you know as soon as a couple days before your period is due but most say to take them a few days after a missed period. Conception usually occurs 14 days from the first day of your last period and a woman's cycle on average is 28 days so two weeks after conception would be the day that you would begin your period if you are a perfectly average woman which many are not. I would wait a couple days since many pregnancies can begin and end and you don't even know because it occurs before your cycle was going to begin. so for example you could get a false positive by taking a home test to early. I would wait 5 to 7 days after a missed period and then still if you get a negative and no period see your doctor for a blood test those a much more accurate.

If by delivery you mean childbirth, you need to wait at least one month before using tampons. It's also important to only use tampons when you know your flow pattern, for the first few months after childbirth flow patterns can be erratic so you risk using too high an absorbency if not careful.

It depends on how far along you are. Standing in and of itself is not a bad thing. But standing for too long can be a hard thing on your lower back. Women (and their partners) should realize that pregnancy is not a disease, it is a normal everyday condition that has been going on for thousands upon thousands of years. Women who are pregnant go to work, they till the fields, tend the house, bath the children (they had before) and do all manner of physical things. I've known patients who have worked up to the very day they gave birth.

Put pressure on the cut using a towel or napkin or something for a while. That should make the bleeding stop. That is only for minor scrapes and cuts though. if it wont stop bleeding go to the hospital. You dont need drugs to stop bleeding. =\ Do you mean to stop the pain? Use Tylenol or something i guess.

I suppose one could also use a product like New Skin, but having used it myself I can tell you it burns! For ingested medications, vitamin K thickens the blood and reverses the effects of medicines like Coumadin. Lasix or HCTZ can also thicken blood, but this is not their intended purpose. Finally, nicotine also thickens the blood, but I'd advise against using it for this!

It is very normal for you to bleed after birth. Usually the only time you won't right away is if you are breast feeding. Once you start to bleed you are likely to bleed for 4-6 weeks straight.

After my delivery I use to drink warm water with lemon and honey. And it really works for me. I usually drink twice a day :)

They were not paying attention

Stitches are normally removed after 10 days, but sometimes earlier on their own.
