What were the goals and how effective was American propaganda aimed toward women during World War 2?
I'm sure we've all seen the poster of a woman flexing her arm saying, "We can do it!" This was aimed toward virtually all able-bodied women in America, urging them to join the workforce, to produce supplies for the war overseas. In my personal oppinion, this campaign was very effective. During the end of 43 and into 44, American factories were producing more aircraft and ammo and tanks than ever before.
How did Hitler use propaganda in schools for slackers?
Hitler made German blooded children learn how to identify a Jew. they were taught that a Jew was usually recognized by his nose because it is crooked at the end. it also looks like the figure six. so is was called the " Jewish six". many non-Jews also have crooked noses too but their noses are bent, not at the end but further up. such a nose is called a hook nose or an eagles beak it has nothing to do with a Jewish nose. the Jew is also recognized by his lips. his lips are usually thick. often the lower lip hangs down. that is called "sloppy". and the Jew is also recognized by his eyes. his eyelids are thicker and more fleshy than ours. the look of the Jew is sly and sharp. they were also told that the Jews are spawns of the devil and deserved to be killed and it was their duty to rid Germany of the Jewish disease.

Why were educated people in Germany falling for Nazi propaganda?
When Hitler came into power he did not promise war and holocaust, but he promised to create a better and more powerful Germany.
His passionate "rock star" speech performances even impressed educated people who longed for a strong, dynamic super-leader instead of endless parliamentary discussions.
Don't forget that more than 80% of the Germans at that time had also lived in the German "law and order" Kaiser Reich which ended only in 1918 (= 15 years before Hitler came into power).
So, most Germans at that time were skeptical about parliamentary democracy and made the republican system responsible for the hyperinflation 1923 and the 30%-unemployment in 1932.
Whenever I talk to older people, they all agree that in the first years, Hitler really kept most promises that he made:
* reduce unemployment from 35% to 0% within 4 years (England and America
never got below 5% unemployment),
* boost the German economy by large-scale infrastructure programs,
* build autobahns all across Germany, decades before the U.S. and other
countries copied them,
* introduce the Volkswagen beetle, a car that every German could afford (only because of the war mass production had to be delayed),
* create the KdF service which organized leisure and vacation activities for
people who didn't have the money to afford expensive traveling,
* introduce television broadcasts in 1935 as the first country in the world,
* stop the huge reparation payments to the Allies in order to spend the money in Germany,
* create a Wehrmacht army which despite the Treaty of Versailles became stronger and stronger,
* and of course to make most Germans (even educated people) feel proud of their country, which was not the case in the Weimar republic.
The first shock for the educated people happened when they watched the raids and attacks against Jewish synagogues and stores in 1938, which were obviously tolerated by the Nazi regime.
When the war started and Germany conquered 90% of Europe within 2 years,
skepticism again faded because most Germans put up with the fact that Hitler would stay in power for the next 50 years.
This changed again in 1943, when Allied bombing became stronger and the Wehrmacht suffered more and more defeats. Now suddenly, many educated people listened to Allied radio broadcasts and were informed on the millions of holocaust victims. So, in 1944 and 1945 most educated people had lost all sympathies for Hitler and the totalitarian system. They just hoped for an end of the war, to stay alive and to get back their sons and husbands who were fighting a more and more demoralizing struggle against the Allies.

What does Coueistic propaganda mean?
I believe that it refers to excessively optomistic propaganda which incites people to believe that good will come of the actions being undertaken, regardless of justification. I am citing from "The God That Failed" edited by Richard Crossman page 206: "Once I was ill in Moscow for several weeks. After a time, when friends telephoned to inquire about me, Markoosha, my wife, would reply, "He's much better but he doesn't know it yet." That is the domestic version of "Soviet realism," intended, since it was said in my hearing, to serve as a kinda of Coueistic propaganda." It goes on to describe "Soviet realism" instead of propaganda but since elsewhere on the web "Coueistic" refers to excessive optomism, I would assume that this is the meaning in terms of propaganda.

How is propaganda in relationship to the cultural revolution?
Propaganda has everything to do with the Cultural Revolution! Propaganda were and still are the trends. The law. What everyone else is doing. People also looked up to propaganda for inspiration on what to do. What to aim for. Then peer pressure and numerous other factors do the rest. On the flip side of it, a leader uses propaganda to influence his people in certain non-direct ways. So when Mao wanted to reform China's culture, propaganda was the answer.
Why did Nazi Germany use Wagner's music as propaganda and not Beethoven's or Bach's?
Wagner was Hitler's favourite composer; most of his music was very teutonic and powerful, therefore accepted by the Nazi party and their efforts during the war; it was very well suited for use in public announcements and propoganda films especially. Hitler also related to him, as Wagner published an anti-semetic book, which further strengthened Hitler's bond with Wagner.
Already in Wagner's lifetime there was an Old Germaniccult surrounding him and his music. Many of his operas deal with Germanic legends.
J S Bach was known above all as a religious composer, so one can see why the Nazis disapproved of his music.
Beethoven on the other hand was actually approved by the Nazis; like Wagner, he did compose some teutonic pieces such as the infamous 9th Symphony.
How did the Vichy French use propaganda against the French people?
== == They didn't. After the French defeat the French government moved from Paris to Vichy which was in the part of France that the armistice agreement said would remain unoccupied. It was the legitimate government of France and continued to govern the country although it became a puppet of the Germans. It was not against France or the French people except in the sense that it was a fascist dictatorship and thus denied them their fundamental rights while collaborating with the occupying Germans.
