Look under the dash between steering column and driver's side door, you may have to lay on your back to see under the dash and take a flashlight, the fuses are marked around the outside of the box to tell you what they are for, and under the hood up next to the firewall on the driver's side is another set of important fuses, different type than under the dash, but take a look, they are also marked as to what they control.

It depends what kind of station it is. If it's an analogue station - it transmits Frequency Modulated (FM) and/or Amplitude Modulated (AM) signals. If it's a digital station, it transmits digital 'packets' of data in FM format.

Located on your Bose Remote control, there is a + and a - symbol under the area where is says "TIME". Make sure your system is ON. Press the + or - buttons to move the numbers on you system to set the desired time. its a 4 digit code to enable radio operation,best bet is to pull radio out and get serial number from sticker on top of radio and call Volvo dealer with radio model # sc-815 or sc-816 and serial number and they can run thru computer and get your code

If the plastic post/window frame covers are felxible enough - or if there is a rubber trim piece, you can use a thin piece of plastic to pry the edge up and another thin piece to tuck the wire underneath, going just a inch or so at a time. Do not use a screwdriver or metal object like a scraper.

don't go buy a 16gig mp3 player and a FM transmitter then you can play any music you want all you have to do is pick a FM frequency like 98.9 and set your FM transmitter and radio to that and your done. cool thing about this set up is when you arent using it in your vehicle then you can take it in the home and use it on any stereo in your house.

You will need the harness kit that is available at Best Buy and other locations. However, my 2001 VW Cabrio did not have a switched +12V source (source that turns on or off with the ignition key). Without a switched +12V source the radio will remain on when the key is removed from the ignition if you have not manually turned the radio off and your battery will be drained. A switched +12V source is available from the rear defroster switch (black and yellow wire). Connect a wire from this switched +12V source to the red wire of the harness kit. You must also cut or remove the red wire from the socket of the wire harness kit because it will be connected to a non-switched +12V source of your car.

Most likely a short in the speaker wiring which is common for this car, check your trunk! Cargo can easily hit the speaker (top of trunk space) and break off a wire, creating a short, and disabling the car radio. You can either repair or replace a damaged speaker, or just neatly trim the severed wiring and wrap with electrical tape to get the radio working again but without one (or both) rear speakers.

check to make sure that the power 12v and the ignition 12v are wired up correctly the "constant 12v" connection flows constant power to the radio to keep the preset channels and the clock memory active. the accessory is for when the car is turned on to accessory mode, the rest of the stereo will turn on. they are probably hooked up incorrectly.
