Hooking up a aftermarket radio in a 97 Chevy truck?

The 97 K1500 series trucks, tahoes, and suburbans have a din and a half radio size. This size is known as an oversize radio. Pioneer is one of the only manufacturers to make an aftermarket radio. This Supertuner III can be found on most websites and its design is about 10 years old. Now this CD player is still a mighty fine option for an upgrade if you are looking for a perfect fit with an ease of installation. Dont forget you will need an GM antenna adapter for any aftermarket radio install

If you are looking for something newer such as HD radio, I-Pod Adapter, USB input, or wireless remotes you will have to go with an Single DIN radio. You will need your radio of choice, wiring harness adapter, antenna adapter, and a install kit.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

UNHOOK BATTERY FIRST!!!

HAve all your parts!!

Read the instructions and pay attention to radio harness diagrams!!

Be careful removing the dash trim ring. Its large and held on by clips. It will break easily if you are too rough. Loosen it around the steering column first but dont pull it away from the dash until it is completely separated.

Take your time and DO IT RIGHT!!!

Probably want at replacing hte speakers as they are paper and might be dry rotted (the radio will have more power than the old one and may finish them off)

Go to www.Crutchfield.com and get your parts. Everything to install it is usually free and they have good specials and tech support.

What time and days does Michael Savage talk on the radio?

There are at least 100 different radio stations, all at 910 on the dial, in different parts of

the USA. Each one is a separate business with no connection to any of the others.

You haven't mentioned where you're located, so there's no way we can help, even if we

were willing to phone up your local station for you. Best suggestion is for you to listen

carefully for a while, catch the call letters of the radio station, then dial 411, ask for the

phone number of that station, call them up, and ask them what time they air the Savage

Nation.

What is the radio code for a 2001 Nissan Pulsar Q?

well unfortunatley I went through the same issue with my Camaro. Every car has it's own special code. ( what happend ur battery died?) Now here is the tricky part you can either try to contact the dealer/ previous owner of the car and see if they have it. If they dont have it then you have to take it to a dealer and they hook it up to a computer and read the code off for you. The good news is after this you will have it. I believe you can also ask them to disable this also.

Who were Christina Aguilar's parents?

this might help i got it off of Wikipedia so look it up there

Early life and career

Aguilera was born in Staten Island, New York, to Fausto Wagner Xavier Aguilera, a Sergeant in the U.S. Army at the time and Shelly Loraine Fidler, a teacher of the Spanish language. Aguilera's father was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador[15] (Christina's maternal grandmother emigrated from County Clare, Ireland.)[16] Her father, Fausto, was stationed at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Japan. Aguilera lived with her father and mother until she was seven years old. Aguilera grew up hearing Spanish and thus understands the language, although she is more fluent in English.[17] When Aguilera's parents divorced, her mother took her, and her younger sister Rachel, to her grandmother's home in Rochester, Pennsylvania, a town outside of Pittsburgh. According to both Aguilera and Fidler, her father was very controlling, as well as physically and emotionally abusive.[18] She later wrote about her difficult childhood in the songs "I'm OK" in Stripped, and "Oh Mother" in Back to Basics. Although her father has written to Aguilera, she has ruled out any chance of reuniting with him.[19] Since then, Fidler has married a paramedic named Jim Kearns, and changed her name.[20]

As a child, Aguilera aspired to be a singer. She was known locally as "the little girl with the big voice", singing in local talent shows and competitions.[21][22] According to VH1's Driven, whenever competitors learned they would be up against her in any given week, they would immediately withdraw, prompting insiders to claim it was "like sending a lamb to the slaughter." Her peers soon became jealous of her and would frequently subject her to ridicule, ostracism, and, in one gym class, attempted assault. Acts of vandalism around her house included the slashing of the tires on the family car. Eventually, the family relocated to another suburb in the Pittsburgh area (this time, Wexford) and took to secrecy about Aguilera's talent lest another backlash occur.[23] She attended Marshall Middle School near Wexford and North Allegheny Intermediate High School until she was later home schooled.

On March 15, 1990, she appeared on Star Search singing "A Sunday Kind of Love", but lost the competition at number 2. Soon after losing on Star Search, she returned home and appeared on Pittsburgh's KDKA-TV's Wake Up with Larry Richert to perform the same song. People remarked that the then ten-year-old "sounded 20."[23]

Throughout her youth in Pittsburgh, Aguilera sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" before Pittsburgh Penguins hockey, Pittsburgh Steelers football and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. Her first major role in entertainment came in 1993 when she joined the Disney Channel's variety show The New Mickey Mouse Club. Her co-stars included Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears,Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell, the show lasted another year until its cancellation. According to the documentary Driven, Aguilera's co-stars called her "the Diva". One of her most notable performances was of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing".[23]

At the age of fourteen, Aguilera recorded her first song, "All I Wanna Do", a hit duet with Japanese singer Keizo Nakanishi.[24] In 1997, she represented the United States at the "Golden Stag" International Festival with a two-song set.[25]

How did the radio change the world you live in?

It helped communication.

I assume you mean the radio to which people listen in their homes, cars, and other places. There are also radios that allow communication between pilots, truck drivers police men and many many more.

The radio became an exciting addition to homes. In WW II, many people received news of the war through their radios. The radio served the purpose of providing information to the underground resistance movements in France, Belgium and Denmark. Thus the radio changed the world by providing information at a much more rapid pace.

Prior to the popularity of the radio, most people received news from publications. Thus, current events were at least 1 day old before people were informed. The radio changed the pace at which information was exchanged. The news could be mass delivered almost simultaneously with its occurrence. This increased reaction times for the public.

Universities used radio for educational purposes. Radio shows were also created for entertainment purposes. The world became more homogenous because we were all up to date at about the same time. It did not take a few days for the news to circle the globe and reach far corners of society.

In 1952, one of the mini-transistor radios became available through mass production. By 1954, there were more radio receivers in US than there were daily newspapers published. The race to the immediate dissemination of information through the internet was born.

Given a channel with intended capacity of 100Mbps the bandwidth of the channel is 20 MHz What signal to noise ratio is required to achieve this capacity?

Using the Shanon Capacity formula,

C = B log2 (1+ SNR)

Where B = 20 X 106 Hz

In order to calculate C (channel capacity) one must be mindful that 1Kbps = 1024 bps, NOT 1000 bps. Having this in mind,

C = 100 X 1.024 * 106 bps = 1.024 * 108

Substituting C, B, and solving for SNR:

1.024 * 108 = 20* 106 * log2 (1+SNR)

1.024 * 102 = 20 * log2 (1+SNR)

5.12 = log2 (1+SNR)

25.12 = 1 + SNR

2 5.12 - 1= SNR

SNR = 33.8

if in decibels = 10 log (33.8) = 15.29 dB

My girlfriend has a 2006 escape and I ran into the same problem trying to change her brakes and none of the Allen wrenches fitting. The '06 needed a 9 mm Allen, so I'm assuming the 05 would need the same?! Good Luck!

How do i get the radio to work in my 1995 Pontiac firebird?

First thing to do is check the fuse. If the fuse is good then you will have to remove the radio and have it repaired or replace. You should be able to find a used radio at any salvage yard or you can install an aftermarket radio. That would be cheaper than having it repaired.

How do you replace the radio in 1999 Pontiac Bonneville?

First, you will need to gently pry the dash trim panel off. It is one panel the whole way from the radio, over the steering wheel, and over to the headlight switch. Use a flat bladed screwdriver or other similar tool and gently work pulling each push fastener out. Once the panel is removed, there are several small bolts or screws on each side of the radio. Remove these and the radio should slide out. Once you remove the wire harness plug and antenna lead the radio should be free. If you are replacing with a factory style, installation is reverse. With other radios you should be able obtain a harness plug adapter. blitzinger@hotmail.com

How do you remove the radio in a suzuki sx4?

This is a difficult task and takes patience. First you must disconnect the temperature control cable underneath the dash just to the right of the center console. This is done by removing a 7mm bolt using a 7mm boxend wrench. Then you must then unhook the cable downwards from its side mounting.If you look very closely at the bottom of the plastic bezel you will notice 2 small slots where you use a small slotted screwdriver to start prying the bezel off working your way upward. It is almost impossible not to scratch the dashboard under the bezel. The metal retaining clips will start falling from behind the dash, so it would be helpful if you had a magnet to retrieve them even if you don't end up re-using them.

Can you use an aftermarket radio in Chevy Monte Carlo?

Have a professional do it or if your up to it, you can DIY with a few mods. You will loose the radio features such as chimes and tire pressure reset etc. but, install the radio in the normal fashion into the dash. a little modification to the dash cover is sometimes necessary depending on the radio. Hook up the aftermarket radio to the GM color codes below. The ACC will not work with this type install and you must read all the way for this to work. Find a new spot in the fuse box that works off the key (a tester is needed) wire this new wire to the ACC wire of your radio. You MUST have an antenna adapter for an aftermarket radio. Reinstall the radio/dash/etc.

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange

(There is sometimes two orange. Use the "Hot" one.

Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow

(The yellow wire will not work, run a new as previously mentioned)

Car Radio Ground Wire: Black

Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray

(Use only if your new radio has this feature)

Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan

Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray

Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green

Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green

Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown

Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow

Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue

Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue

After the install, Go to the trunk and locate the Gmos box in the trunk. (looks like a small aluminum amp) unplug the Large plug from the module (box) and notice its the same plug that was in you radio. Locate and cut the speaker wire colors above and also cut the same number of wire directly across from them on the other side of the plug. There should be two wires left in the plug when your done. Connect the wires as follows:

LF(+) Tan connects to Blue w/ white stripe

LF(-) Grey Connects to Green w/ Black stripe

RF(+) Light Green connects to Blue with black stripe

RF(-) Dark Green connects to Dark Green

LR(+) Brown connects to Tan**

LR(-) Yellow connects to White

RR(+) Dark Blue connects to red

RR (-) Light blue connects to Tan**

**There are two tan wires the same color in this group keep them beside their corresponding color where they were in the plug. If the rear speakers don't play then swap these two.

Wire nut and/or tape these and plug the plug back in the module (not that it will do anything now) and your radio is "Good-to-go"

Good luck!
