No you will not as far as I know I did this with mine in September and have had no problems so far!
AnswerTelling you that weve all changed batteries and not had problems is ok but it doesnt really help you. Heres some resons for your problem. Sometimes the codes can be lost. Everytime you press the button on the key fob it revolves the code and this can sometimes become out of sync with the car. Re-coding can only be done at the dealer. Also, why did you change battery? Did the fob not work? If so the Renault key fobs were prone to the solder that connects the buttons cracking. You can get the key fob tested by any decent garage, also the RAC carries testers. Hope this helpsWhy is your Renault megane cooling fan remaining on and will not stop?
There is a hit unit inside the engine compartment (look for a covered black box at the left side of the car).
inside - you'll find a black electronic device (looks like a big fuse). take it out and it should stop the fan from working.
There is a thermal unit in it - it must have been stuck.
Replace this unit (very cheap)

How do you reset the service light on a Renault traffic?
In order to reset the service light you need to have either a stand-alone OBD II or an OBD interface for a PC/laptop and suitable software. The idea behind this is that you will go back to the main dealer to get you car/van serviced. The equipment is available on eBay etc., although it is a bit expensive just to reset your service light. It might be worth your while checking with a local mechanic as they may have equipment to reset it and they won't charge a arm and a leg.
Hope this helps.
AddendumI've found that mechanics charge anywhere from $20 to over $100 just to read the codes. I ended up getting an OBD II off eBay for $55 and it reads the codes and resets the light at the same time. If you choose to go that route, you need to be careful that you get the correct OBD II for your model car.Answer
